Beam weapons have been used by forerunners in previous halo’s. But in halo 4 there was no forerunner beam weapon that was useable. I see this as an issue in a lore perspective that there wasnt a beam weapon to be used. Anyone want sentinel beam back with a buff so its useful?
Beam rifle and binary rifle used beams, of a sort. And the sentinel beam is more of a lasor so you could count the Spartan lasor too.

He’s talking about sentinel beams and focus rifle. We should have weapons like these in a Forerunner game.

Popularity doesn’t necessarily determine a weapon’s return, otherwise, the Grenade Launcher would’ve returned. It’s the trademark weapon of a Sentinel, we have Prometheans and other forerunner jazz, why not include them.
I’d prefer something precise like the Focus Rifle, which actually melted people well if you could aim with it.

The sentinel beam was never that popular because it rarely appeared in MM. It was actually really good though because it could strip through shields and health quickly. Bungie may have even left it out because it was so powerful.
I don’t have much to say about the focus rifle though, I never found that thing to be very useful as a sniper in comparison to the beam rifle. It won’t be missed.

Sentinels were seen in the halo 4 campaign… I’ll not be shocked to see then return. As to whether or not their weapons are available, I don’t know. I do feel it to be more than likely.

I’m with you man, there should be beam weapons like the Sentinel Beam, I loved that weapon

because Ppatebtly e43 aren’t even trying to add anything to the game with the promethean weapons.
They are just basically making sure they have more or less of a carbon copy of what already exists in the human arsenal and just video games in general.

Its weird though I like the alien weapons more they look so much better but obviously using them compared to a human weapon is worse in some cases. Although the more covenant and promethean weapons the better weapon variety instead of just sticking with the br or ar or even dmr.
I always thought the Watchers should of had Sentinel Beams.
