BE TRUE HALO FANS

Leading a bit closer to Halo 4 .I tend to see the usual Halo fans arguing about which is better. Halo: Reach or Halo 3.You have halo 3 fans who only want the original halo experience, but then you have the Halo: Reach fans “from what I’ve seen” who think the game is much better off with the many new changes. All I say is ADAPT. Halo 4 may be your classic Halo 2 or 3 themed FPS “And I would prefer the classic Halo” or it may be an even more evolved version of Halo: Reach with more AA’s and Bloomed weapons. Hopefully though, it is a mixture in between with great elements from both games everyone can agree on. But no matter what it is like people don’t realize all games will make radical changes, and that it’s better to adapt then become bored over the years with the same old game. You might all be complaining about what Halo: Reach is now or what Halo 4 MAY or MAY-NOTbe but just remember that no mater what changes are made there is going to be a crowd of people who don’t like it. Whether you are classic Combat Evolved fans or Halo: Reach fans it doesn’t matter. Because if you were a true Halo fan you would’nt worry about all the changes big or small, or not play it because Bungie didn’t produce it, but play it because you like it. So if you’re coming on the website whining about how you think 343 is crap because they aren’t bungie or how they screwed up Halo: Reach dont. Because if you don;t like it don’t play it.

yes

Remember the old days when people had to LIKE a game instead of trashing forums on how the game sucks and their ideas are so much better ?

No.

elaborate on “no” please. i wanna see ppls feed back cuz this is one of my first topics ive posted

Being a fan doesn’t mean not beign critical of things you don’t like, in fact the exact opposite is true. If someone doesn’t care enough to want something to improve, even if their idea of improvement is subjective, they probably aren’t as much of a fan as those who do.

I stopped reading here.

each game brings its own pros and cons to the table and the biggest thing that irks me about people who started halo on halo 3 or halo reach is they make this claim that halo 2/3 are a classic experience:

halo 2 and halo 3 are in no way “the same game”, nor are they classic halo.

i did play halo one. but im talking in the eyes of most people “at least that I know” who played halo 2 & 3 as their first games and by a more classic halo experience i mean no bloom, armor abilities, credit system, and any other things i hear people saying isnt the " real halo" either way im just trying to say. if you dont like it dont play it. But if u are a real fan try to adjust to it and if u cant move on.

reach actually wasnt 343s fault, bungie produced it and 343 tried to save it with the title update, but they just updated a few things so the TU was not really good

just asking myself if 343 is responsible for reach too, cause they exist since 2007,they should oversee bungie’s work cause bungie said they will quit the halo franchise

so if reach was sooo bad in 343’s eyes why did nobody tell bungie they’re doing bad with reach? i guess 343 thought reach is going to be a good game

there are 4 halo multiplayer games:
Halo CE can be played on the gamespy servers online
Halo 2 can be played on windows live
Halo 3 can be played on xbox 360
Halo reach can be played on xbox 360

they are all halo: there is no “real halo”.

Classic halo is magnum based gameplay.
No DMR/BR no AA no equipment and no ranking system.

Halo 2/3/R are not classic. The first one is.

im one of these, and no i dont think like this, halo 2 and halo 3 had just the best multiplayer and they had the biggest influence in making halo popular

halo:CE maybe had the most classic experience but halo wouldnt be were it is right now without halo 2 and 3

No. -Yoink- conformity.

But I’ll give 343 a chance after seeing what they did with friendly AI on Installation 04. So yes. Just as long as they fix a lot more things that were in Reach. Especially Jackals. I refuse to fight moving shields. I’d rather fight Ultra Elites in their place.

I really dont want to type up a great wall of text telling you about why I disagree with you but ill summarize it.

 1. at least you recognize CE is classic.

 2. Halo 2 and Halo 3 are both great games but they werent as good as halo reach in my opinion. Halo reach preTU kind of stinks but Reach with the TU makes even halo 2 look bad. Halo 2 had excellent weapon sandbox balance and kill times but because of its bad hit registration and netcode the game isnt as smooth or consistent to play over the internet compared to halo reach’s gameplay. Same goes for halo 3, except BR spread will always be worse than bloom in my book.

 3. IMO: TUreach is the best in the franchise so far but its not much of a surprise being that it is the most recent.

 4. The main thing halo 2 and 3 have on reach is a good competitive ranking system. While arena makes more sense than 1-50: there is only 1 playlist, there is no “highest percentage”, and rank is not skill based. Arena was a great stepping stone for whatever they have cooked up in halo 4. Arena didnt work in halo reach but the concept and the feedback will pave the road to the future.

Boom?

Im not saying 2 and 3 ARE THE CLASSIC halos but on the note that what? were on the 8th halo i think now. I’d consider halo 1,2, and 3 classic since they’re all in the classic trilogy.

But you can’t adapt to randomness…

I want something new, not a remake. Stop living in the past, I don’t want Halo 4 to be Halo 2.5 or 3.5

> But you can’t adapt to randomness…

-Yoink!- sapien does it just fine

Do you want to know what I want Halo 4 to be?

I want Halo 4 to be HALO 4!

No.

Elaborate?

No, hell naw, never in a million years, nein, nah, lolno, pfftnope, no way in hell, nah you good.

In other words.

No.

I find it funny how people say “Be a TRUE fan” to try to make their opinion more important or more correct.

Have at. Everyone has an equal opinion. Deal with it.
