> DISCLAIMER
This post is going to be rather long as I hope to answer a bulk of information related to Be the Bullet, I apologize for its length before hand and I thank anyone who has taken the time to read it all the way through.
> BRIEF HISTORY
Be the Bullet (BtB) was originally launched in May of 2012 as a Division of a much larger super clan. In early August the super clan dissolved and the Halo Division of that clan annexed itself.
Be the Bullet was chosen as our new name on August 5th, the official beginning of our gaming community.
Be the Bullet was chosen as a name, not because we all love Team Snipers or are all dead shots with it, instead it was chosen to show our dedication to the Halo franchise, and our intent to play and support only Halo.
As of September 16th 2012, Be the Bullet has 50 active members and recruits, from 6 countries and counting.
> STRUCTURE AND RANKING
Be the Bullet uses US Army rankings. However, in BtB Rankings mean more than just an insignia. In Be the Bullet you earn your rank, through your actions, your ability, and your dedication to the community. Additionally, rank comes with increased responsibilities, those who can’t operate effectively with those increased responsibilities will not be promoted.
Our basic structure is as follows:
Recruits - Newly enlisted personnel in Be the Bullet, must have a Mentor in order to take a Boot Camp event to become a full member in Be the Bullet.
Enlisted - Members at the rank of Private to Corporal in Be the Bullet. Enlisted members can take up lower level staff positions in various community departments, from recruiting, to event coordination. Additionally, Enlisted members will be prepared to take on increased leadership roles.
NCO Corps - Members at the rank of Sergeant to Sergeant Major. NCO’s are enlisted leaders as well as Squad/Team Leaders and assistants. NCO’s also take more senior Department staff positions, as well as run Boot Camps for Recruits.
Warrant Officer Corps - Warrant Officers are specialists in their field, and that is the same in Be the Bullet. Warrant Officers are leaders in specialized fields, such as website administration, graphic design, and are also leaders of ultra competitive gaming teams (Teams who are successful in GameBattles, HaloWarz, and other leagues/tournaments). Warrant Officer rank is also reserved for team members in these ultra competitive teams.
Officer Corps - Members from 2nd Lieutenant to Colonel. The Officer Corps is senior team/squad leaders as well as Company Commanders, section leads in Departments and lower level Department heads.
General Officer Corps - Members from Brigadier General to General. The General Officer Corps is primarily Department Heads and make up the “governing council” of Be the Bullet. These ranks and positions are reserved for the most dedicated and influential of BtB members.
> SUPPORTED GAME TYPES
Be the Bullet is a competitive clan at heart. While that means we cater more toward players who want to compete actively and often, we do play casually as well.
Our primary supported competitive games are:
Team Slayer
Team Objective
MLG
BtB also plays Big Team Battle, Invasion, Arena, and Custom Games casually.
> ENLISTMENT PROCESS
To join Be the Bullet first you must meet these basic requirements:
+Be at least 14 years of age
+Have a working microphone
+Be able to access our website daily
+Be able to attend Company Meetings as well as team practices weekly
+Purchasing Halo 4 (as we will no longer support Reach once November 6th roles around)
+Be a contributing member of the Community
+Don’t be a raging d-bag (if no one in the group likes you, how are you going to be a good addition to the group?).
If you meet those requirements, then go to our site, here. Register on the site and then click Application, this will take you to the application fill out completely and accurately.
Before submitting an application you should read through our rules and regulations as well as our Field Manual which covers everything about Be the Bullet, from awards and badges, member uniform and practice requirements.
Once you have got a grasp on what we require of our members and are ready to submit the application. An NCO or above will reply to your message with additional information and get your permissions set up for the Recruit phase of the enlistment process.
In order to become a Private and as such a full member in Be the Bullet, a Recruit must complete Boot Camp. While I can’t go into specifics about what Boot Camp is, it is our way to judge a persons abilities under pressure, and their character in game. We don’t necessarily seek out the best skilled players, as long as they are active, willing to contribute to the community, willing to put in the time and energy to get better, and have a good attitude, we don’t want d-bags in Be the Bullet.
However, before a Recruit can take Boot Camp they must have a Mentor, this is a member of Be the Bullet in the rank of Private or above who guides Recruits through the enlistment process, runs over map call outs, what is expected of recruits and members alike, and in general prepares the Recruit for Boot Camp. The Mentor will be the one who recommends the Recruit is ready to take Boot Camp, so a Mentor is paramount to advance.
Once a member completes Boot Camp they are promoted to Private and made an official member of Be the Bullet and awarded all rights and privileges as a full member of the Community.
> UNIFORM OF BE THE BULLET
Be the Bullet does not dictate armor or armor color. However, we do strictly enforce the wear and look of the emblem. The emblem is Recruit based and Company based and must be worn correctly and at all times by recruits and members alike. The full uniform policy can be found in the Field Manual.
