Be strong, Be fast, Be invisible, and most important have options. Be the weapon.

Halo 4 should be able to let the player play the way we want too. Watch…

As you can see you can basicaly you can be invisible, have walking amour lock, sprint, and be really strong at one time as along as you have energy in your suit. Also they didnt show this but you can change weapon attachments at anytime in the game but I was wondering if you people on the forums would like to see a system like this in Halo 4. DISCUSS

Thanks you are the best Link.

To be honest, I’d be annoyed if 343 did the following for Halo 4.

  • Make it like Crysis…
Crysis 2 was a letdown in so many ways for me, not to mention the gameplay was awful. Didn’t enjoy the story, didn’t like the graphics, I guess I was too cynical for it but damn, that game bored the hell out of me.

  • Implement what the community wants.
Oh god, PLEASE 343 for the love of GOD don’t listen to the community, the community has no idea what it wants, one person makes a thread saying I want this, I want that, make it like this, make it like that. Know what? Go play the game that has that in it…I know it’s difficult, but don’t give us another Reach…please.

None of those things are Halo! weapon attachments?? COD! go play COD.

Armour Lock is bad enough, but now you want walking Armour Lock??
Halo needs to evolve i know that, but not by taking things from Cod or Crysis.

Halo Reach now has armor lock, sprint, and active camo as AAs.

It worked terribly. Let’s move on and forget that Reach happened, please.

Having never played Crysis 2, I can’t say anything about it in specific, but I do support the “more ways to play” notion. I don’t want my only option to be walk through hordes of enemies, guns blazing. I want to be able to deal with a situation how I see fit, and how I want to do it. Not how the game forces me to do it.

Let’s take the last part of The Ark in Halo 3, with the Brutes. The way I would’ve dealt with that was to take out the chieftain silently and first, causing the rest of the pack to panic without proper leadership, making them easy pickings. The game forced me to either go in there and kill them all at the same time, or some convoluted thing that only works if I happened to pick up the right weapon earlier.

No. Just because something about another game was amazing doesn’t mean it should be added to others. There are certain features from other games that would work in Halo, but not the ones you listed. halo shouldn’t have weapon attachments or “walking armor lock”. The only thing you said that I would accept in Halo is sprint. Let Halo be Halo and Crysis be Crysis.

Crysis 2 was a shiny toy that looks good but plays terribly. I want my great Halo gameplay, and that means simplifying not complicating.

You took them all on at once? That’s weird.

My strategy on my first few playthroughs was to see the Brute Chieftain through the window and remember how much damage he could inflict. Upon walking out the door, he would immediately start charging me, so I, terrified, proceeded to flee backwards all the way to the Ark’s Cartographer. I would then grab a turret dropped by the first Chieftain, slowly walk it all the way back to the last Chieftain, and blast him again. He’d activate invincibility, I’d flee again, wait two minutes, scavenge for grenades, return. Grenade spam the Chieftain to death, and then Carbine the other Brutes down.

…I agree, though, that we could use more options in the gameplay. But AAs, or features analogous to them, are not the only way to provide options.

I’m totally against armor abilities, or anything similar. Even the equipment in H3 was annoying. In order for H4 to succeed, it needs to FEEL like Halo. Real Halo. They need to try to make the game as simple as possible. I’m tired of playing games that could potentially be really good, but end up being ruined by a ton of extra “fluff” that’s just meant to make the game look cool.
