Be straight with me

Is there going to ever be splitscreen? I can get over all other issues, as long as my wife and I can play together.

FYI: Too lazy to look into it, as there are 4-6 games I will be buying in the next 3 weeks. Heard all the suckers that bought the deluxe edition only obtained common etc REQs, too funny.

it is very unlikely 343 will update halo 5 with splitscreen. but who knows

Sorry bro,
There is no split screen

There is no split screen and there will be no split screen. to maintain 60 FPS at 900p, this is impossible. keep in mind that most xbox one games run at 720p (or another custom resolution around there) at 30 FPS. this is why they are able to include this feature

I would prefer 40 fps and splitscreen than 60fps and forever alone

No sadly…no never

What if I told you, it is possible, with some development time, to reduce the graphics settings for those playing in Split-Screen without comprising the solo player’s visual appreciation?

And don’t go ahead and say it is because of internet connection being incompatible with different framerates and resolution, because if that were true, PC online gaming would not be possible.

I was just talking to my wife about that, instead of being like the COD franchise and releasing a game every year, take two-four years to develop an amazing game. Bungie knew how to do it. 343i is rushing to put out garbage. I am perfectly fine waiting for a good game that is fully developed and optimized.
“Many of our ambitious goals for Halo 5 would be compromised in a split-screen setting and the time spent optimizing and addressing split-screen-specific issues would take focus from building other parts of the game.

Add a second menu option, make it SPLITSCREEN. Have reduced whatever it takes to make it a household game.

I do not think so.

NO there is not. It is removed for technical reasons, not because they wanted to make you unhappy.

Sadly it looks like we won’t be able to enjoy this game OP. I know I probably won’t buy it just because of this missing feature

Yep, I launched it, found out I couldnt play splitscreen with my wife, then was like -Yoink- this and went back to mcc.

Perhaps in Halo 6. It all depends on if 343 can find ways to work it in, after learning a little bit more about how to work with Xbox’s hardware. While splitscreen is an important thing to have, I don’t usually buy Halo games for splitscreen, so it’s not too important to me.

A game being developed for 3 years is “rushing” to you?
