The Battlepass and one pack of Swaps/Boosts which I realized later were redundant to the the ones I earned over time. I haven’t yet seen any cosmetics that were significantly more entertaining than the ones I’ve unlocked for free.
I’ve bought the campaign.
0.0000000000000000$. Not worth my money. Thanks 343.
On the other hand if it were a box product i.e campaign + Multiplayer yea i would spend 60$ or even 70$.
-
I enjoy the game and saw myself putting significant time into it, a major determining factor in my spending habits for games.
-
For $10, a perpetually lasting Season Pass with about 80 armor unlocks is a steal, especially compared to some of the bundles at the time. Plus it was the only way to get the ODST helmet.
-
I was eagerly awaiting a blue/yellow armor coating, a blue/yellow coating became available for $8.
-
The Cyber Showdown bundle at $12 was a decent deal and I liked the content of the bundle.
I would say between the Season Pass and the blue/yellow coating spending $18 on a game I didn’t pay for and enjoy is far more reserved than what I have spent on games in the past and don’t play anymore. The CS bundle wasn’t something I particularly was eager about, but I had a few extra bucks I could spend so I purchased something I enjoyed.

$510 on Halo’s 3-5 + CEA (initial cost of entry, collectors sets, plus map packs and additional DLC) (? Hours)
-
$400 on CSGO (cases mainly) (1200+ hours)
-
$150 Overwatch ($20 on loot boxes, the rest on alternate role accounts) (2000+ hours)
-
$400+ on Destiny 1+2 (DLC mainly, but some cosmetics as well) (1000+ hours)
-
$180 APB (863 hours)
-
$50 Planetside 2 (138 hours)
Over the span of the next ten years vs what I spent in the past 10 years, $30 isn’t a massive impact comparatively as my MKV and MKVII Spartan models are about 70%-80% to what I want them to look like, and would probably spend about $20-$30 more getting them the remaining 30%-20% there and still may be the smallest amount of money I’ve spent on a game over a long term period.
Well yeah because I have zero interest in p2w games, as do most gamers which is why they aren’t commercially successful.
Doesn’t change how many good FTP games have come out of it.
The only one I see shaming here is you, buddy.
I used my MS reward points to get an Xbox gift card and purchase the BP and enigma helmet first week, since that helmet was love at first sight in the flights. Enigma is the best helmet in the game, don’t even @ me, and I was very glad get at least that for free.
Not a damn thing. No battle pass, no campaign, and certainly no credits
I feel the exact same. Even though I did actually buy the BP (out of literal boredom with the game after a couple of weeks) AND the game itself (slaps face in shame) I would never “BUY” my armor individually. The way games are being made nowadays is repulsive. With the exception of Fortnite, since the F2P model and buying skins was their only form of income, games like BF2042, Infinite, Cyberpunk, Apex, Etc are ridiculous in that they are nearly unplayable yet the producers keep pumping out buyable content every week despite their games being bare boned and disappointing. Apex would be a super great game if it didn’t lag, drop games , and start you without teammates continuously. These companies need to know their products are bad and we the consumers must tell them! In one way or another.
not proud of it, but probably around 1,000$
haha, i don’t even have the money to buy cosmetics…
Did you buy every level of the BP or something? I’ve bought probably 70% of stuff in the store and I’ve barely broken $400
‘ Sid Meier says that if major companies continue to focus on ways like this to monetise gaming, they risk losing the audience: "People can assume that a game is going to be fun and what it needs for success are more cinematics or monetisation or whatever - but if the core just is not there with good gameplay, then it won’t work.’. I agree with this whole heartedly… even with halo campaigns without story I enjoy running around just shooting aliens - it’s why halo is so successful.
If one doesn’t respect value then the value for ones Items are lost.
Don’t prop up a false economy!
I spent 1500 NTD (about 54 USD) on Battle Pass + HCS skin + Daisy Delights bundle in the store.
In addition, I also spent 12239 NTD (about 437 USD) on Halo Infinite physical copy, Halo Infinite Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller, NERF Halo MA40, NERF Halo Bulldog SG, NERF Halo Mangler, NERF Halo Needler mini blaster to express my support for Halo.
But 343i in recent months has been disappointing.
-
2 HCS skins (didn’t realize they were core locked and that I couldn’t change anything) also the price only felt justified because it supports HCS teams. $20
-
Battle Pass (bought Premium bundle HUGE MISTAKE) $28
-
Halo effect $3 (if it was priced at $2 I would’ve been happier but I just wanted it for my demon armor haha)
Total: $51 ($48 of which I feel ripped-off on)
Luckily walmart gave me a refund on the game because there was no codes with my preorder, so overall I did get the full game for free.
60 dollars or so. somewhere in there.
And I bought the campaign aka the other half of the game…
so what is that. 120-130 USD.
About $300ish. Most of that was to get to max lvl in the S2 BP because I didn’t feel like grinding it this time. No regrets, but I won’t do that again ![]()
Outside of my gamepass ultimate membership, I’ve spent $0 on the game. The season 2 battle pass had me consider it, but given how bad the shop is organized as well as the lack of ability to grind for anything I decided nothing is worth it. If they update the store to be more consumer friendly I might consider a purchase in the future.
$0
And that isn’t likel’y to ever change until they fix De-Synch and allow us to select the Server we play on. Until then, the game is dead to me and I don’t spend money on unplayable games.
