Be Constructive + Be Respectful - Help The Devs!

Trust me, I have had my fair share of Halo 5 hatred and disapproval like many who will be reading this. But guess what, I realized something: Halo 5 is just a game, and I am one player. What I want is not what everyone else wants in the game, and may be bad for the game. People come on the forums to point out that they hate certain parts of the game and that it is “ruining Halo”. Meanwhile there is a large group that enjoys the game and is not coming onto Waypoint because there is no need; they are having fun.

This complaining and self-entitlement has to stop. This forum is becoming toxic and I regret making my own rash opinions of the game and treating them like that’s what everybody wants.

Its okay to come on to the forums with criticism (PLEASE BE CONSTRUCTIVE) but acting like you want the game to fail and saying the game has “failed” just a few weeks in is unacceptable. I believe a well-formulated arguement will do you more good if you want change.

Again, I am sorry for my such comments in the past, but people need to accept Halo 5s shortcomings or move on. And if you have problems, be respectful and constuctive.

Thank you.

Check this forum in 6 months and the complaining will be subliminal. The game hasn’t been out for even a month, and changes need to be made. The forum is the place for these issues to be brought to the surface and complained about, that was 343i hears the issues. If you’re tired of the complaining wait a few months before hopping onto a forum again. This isn’t just special to Halo 5, this happens on every game forum.

But I think that the hatred I have been reading about is a little more excessive than other forums.

I agree. Someone lock this thread.

I try and keep my issues with the game respectful and constructive (i fail sometimes) but I will absolutely not accept what 343 has done, you can’t let people like them think they are doing the right thing when they make horrid design decisions to a once great franchise, I can’t imagine how halo 5 would have turned out had people just accepted halo 4s shortcomings

Complaining about “complainers”. Wow.

And for the record, there are problems with this game. It’s not perfect. People are pointing them out. Get used to it.

With people like you, Halo will die off completely. The complainers as you call them are adding constructive criticism to fix the series. Guardians has the lowest sales (by copies sold) and the lowest rating in the FPS history.

To play devil’s advocate; The excessive hatred or harsh comments does emphasise the issue or matter to be more urging otherwise it could be argued that without this extreme response, the issues might be over looked or not taken into realisation due to the lack of “assertive” criticism.

(Im talking about the productive criticism or points or options made, not posts that serve zero purpose like “bye then” if someone is upset with game or people just hating the game without addressing any of the problems to help improve it and just crying.)

Of course there are respectful people that offer constructive criticism of the game.

But have you actually been on the forum lately? Go down the first 50 threads that offer criticism of the game; many of them are full of hatred, swears, and are very angry.

IMO, these are a big problem right now and do not help the developers.

Random people whining because they are mad that they are losing(yes that is the full extent of it, see “fix the aiming” “fix the radar” “the game is too hard!”) is not really useful to anyone including the developers.
