There has been many unnecessary complaints, Many people are saying they hate the game they have never played. Although constructive criticism is a must people are getting out of control while 343 is working their butts off to make a great game. And in my opinion they are from the looks of it. I have to agree with neon bullet though, you have no way of knowing how much effort is actually being put into the game.
even if 343 have been slacking off (which I doubt) they’ve still had 3.5 years to work on it so it’s highly unlikely that the game wouldn’t be done at release.
Considering how far they have come and how they have expanded the universe. You have to work pretty hard when taking over a franchise… Just saying

And 343 have been working on the game for over 3 years, they have no doubt been working to make it as good as they possibly could.
Your right about not really knowing for sure. But what we have seen so far has not been a disappointment to the franchise in my eyes at least, although everyone has their own opinions.

If 343 wants to sell any copies, they better start catering to the fanbase.

So far, 343i is getting more Halo 4 preorders than what Bungie got with Halo Reach this close to release, so they must be doing something right.

Now, if you get a pizza with anchovies, even though the pizza guy claims they aren’t anchovies, will you still pay him for the pizza, or would you try to change it?

In other words, people have watched gameplay. The opinions they have are valid. Negative, but valid.

its all about the marketing, gears 3 was the worst gears of the franchise (overall) and it was the most pre-ordered game of all time.
you could say that halo 4 is doing good in pre-orders just because of all the bonuses they’re giving people who pre-order it.
you can’t forget that pre-orders don’t relate all that much to actual sales, even though you know they’re going to have a lot of pre-orders it doesn’t mean it will sell all that much.
like I said with gears 3 it was the most pre-ordered game of all time (so far) and didn’t sell nearly as much as MW3 or black ops did.
But the guy says no ones gonna be interested when this obviously is not true. Halo has many loyal fans.

Maybe because Gears 3 was delayed 3 times and came out nearly 5 years after Gears 2, when the fanbase had dilluded.

Reminds me of the debacle of Dragon Age 2. It got so many pre-orders due to the success and awesomeness of the first game, and we were expecting more of the same.
To this day I still shake in anger over the money I wasted on the Limited Edition of that appalling, puss covered dump-heap of a game.
That said, I think Halo 4 will be alright, its looking good so far.

Although I see where you’re coming from, games a different. And how would you know you don’t like anchovies without trying it right? You cant order a customized halo 4 like you would a pizza. Playing something is different then watching someone else do it, you can not get the feeling of the game and incorporate your game style, skill ect. Watching someone suck with a sniper does not mean the sniper sucks it means it’s not being used correctly. It’s like judging a book by its cover. I originally did not like gears of war from gameplay. I played it at a friends house and using the way I play made it fun and now its a game I love.

Lets take this, you’re driving down the road in the middle east, you see a rock, a broken motorcycle, a dead animal, or something, there are two things it could be, what it looks like, and what it really is. If you use your “duck” analogy, you may end up a smoldering body on the side of the road.
Also, I bet you I can use your “duck” analogy, on a game you greatly enjoy, and show you that not only your “duck” analogy is being wrongly used, but also that duck of yours may not even be a duck.

This is true but I find his pizza analogy to be a little more BS than the duck one.
OT: Even if people would stop with the truly stupid complaints and the ones that have no reason, I’d be happy and I’m sure 343i would too.
