we should be able to create challenges on xbox too
Sure, why not.
Would be nice, maybe in the next major update to Waypoint as a whole, maybe they’ll add that, I mean, there is going to be a major update to Waypoint in November.
The problem is that Waypoint is a separate application to Halo: Reach - every time you wanted to create/turn-in a challenge you’d have to quit Reach and start Waypoint. I don’t know if that functionality could be integrated directly into the game at this point - even if it could I I think it’d be too much work.

For those who don’t have access to a computer or smartphone to do so while they play, this could prove to be handy. And Reach already has a Waypoint link in the start menu, anyways! I honestly don’t see why not.

You can already turn-in and accept them on waypoint console.

what I meant was that I don’t see the ability to create Custom Challenges within Halo: Reach being a priority for 343i, or even a possibility. I agree that being able to do it within Waypoint on the XBox would be useful, but I find it irritating to have to leave Reach to go there so probably wouldn’t bother.
.
If there’re custom challenges in Halo 4, which I hope there aren’t, this should definitely be a feature.

Oh, within Reach? Yeah, I don’t see that happening either. It doesn’t take too long to leave Reach to go to Waypoint, so maybe set a few challenges, then check in after every couple of games? It wouldn’t be the fastest way to do things, but it’d be something…
