> I think saying YouTubers don’t lie is a bit of an assumption. The same with assuming large sites like IGN that they do lie. Look, you may not like IGN’s reviews, I don’t think they’ve had quality writers there for years, but assuming that YouTubers, whom have far less (if any) oversight, are somehow more truthful than the big sites is absurd.

They don’t. They point out a game’s true flaws, and point out its true strengths. There’s some opinion involved but when it comes to stating facts, they don’t lie:
-No splitscreen
-There’s Arena and Warzone
-Warzone plays similar to MOBA
-There’s a REQ system, which is basically an RNG system
-Campaign can be beaten in roughly 5 hours
-There’s x amount of cosmetics
-There’s no where near amount of custom game options that there were in previous Halo games
-The campaign ends on a cliffhanger, which, the general consensus is that the campaign was very flawed

I can keep going on, but these, and more, are what reviewers like Joe and other youtubers talk about. Stuff that people want to know.
Literally IGN’s review is:
-Weak characters
-Strong MP Modes (Lol)
-Guns… Lots of guns.
“9/10”

How are they actually informing people? They literally talk about nothing. Basically: “Hey, the game is good.”
I mean, just look at Star Wars Battlefront’s review:
“Weird music - 8/10” LOL. Even though it’s the exact soundtracks from the movies.

So basically what you’re saying is that independent reviewers help gamers decide what games to buy by giving them the facts and then explaining why certain aspects of the game make them worthwhile, or garbage. You are not in any way claiming that people should blindly accept the opinions of the reviewers.

The truth hurts…

I don’t like BDobbins because he says he’s Batman. He is not Batman. Batman is Batman. This ‘YouTuber’ also has an odd belief that people should conform to HIS beliefs. It’s not like ‘This is my opinion’ its a ‘THIS NEEDS TO BE A FACT BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE IT! If you don’t agree with me I’ll simply let my loyal subs wreck you a new one.’

It’s kinda what I’m seeing here. A person’s opinion shouldn’t affect yours. At all. And yes, that includes reviewers. A reviewer might say a movie sucks, but you truly enjoy it. Does that make the reviewer wrong? No, it was his opinion. It is still his opinion. You might agree with it, but my problem with Dobbins is how he treats himself above others. Not only is that self-centered, its borderline insanity

I agree that mcc was complete crap and embarrassment and still is. 343 should fix it. Halo 5 was better than expected but match making needs to be fixed so teams of 4 only play other teams of 4

Yep. I mean, you can accept an opinion, but it doesn’t have to become your opinion. If that makes sense. But yes.

I wish eh touched on how bad the campaign was

I feel like as long as people are trying to make a living to support them and their families he will criticize them for making money. If anybody is trying to make money he instantly has complaints and tries to paint them as evil. I’ve only every unsubscribed to 2 people in my life, #1 is Onision and #2 is BDobbinsFTW

Plus he thinks that all programming is is typing in “when da player hits da buton shoot the gun, but don’t bug out ok game!” Then he complains that 343 didn’t stick that last part in there for MCC.

And he might be rude sometimes but batman in most casesis right. We need people like him to help video games get better

Good, because LethalQ seems to think you’re saying something else, and you can’t have an intelligent argument with a misunderstanding.

Kinda like the dude above your post is doing Saesee

No. We need less of people like him, otherwise society ceases to function. I doubt you want every person you meet screaming at you to accept their beliefs and opinions as facts.

PewDiePie is a scourge to streaming…

C’mon Martini, plz tell me your joking. Did you watch the video, he kept complimenting the game and critiquing it, a very balanced review? Don’t be a 343 white knight just it’s cool. Dude makes plenty of points, isn’t raging and explaining himself like a sensible person. My only problem is that I got distracted from the good gameplay and him taking long to get to his points in the video.

All I am saying is form your own educated opinion on a game and don’t take some one else’s review as complete truth. I see some one on here said every thing dbobbings is true… really you believe every thing he says… that is sad. People like dobbings thinks his opinions and point of views are 100% fact when they aren’t.

I believe Marcos94 is trying to say that “Batman” is being truthful about the facts that he states, although after hearing this guy… I can defend Angry Joe, but you’re on your own from here Marcos.

Just that. I’m spanish, yet i can’t stand any spanish youtuber (mainly because every video i’ve seen from them are filled with jokes stolen from TV). I tend not to watch any youtuber, except Rooster Teeth. It just seems that anyone with a cam or a recorder can become a youtuber these days.

I would be indifferent about AngryJoe if his videos weren’t relient on him making a review. Sure, get mad about a game, that’s the point. But when you start acting like an official reviewer…

If forming your own educated opinion requires you to actually purchase the game and playing it, then people shouldn’t be so reluctant to be purchasing it. This game is coming from a studio that has produced 2 extreme shortcomings in the halo franchise, and there are many tweaks needed that are pretty darn important for halo 5. For example, the lack of content on launch which bdobbins agrees to, but he also points out a specific flaw about the content: it isn’t diverse enough. One of his main points that struck me was how the maps that are forced to accommodate sprint suffer from a lack of variety in terms of gunfights, pacing, and overall encounters with enemies. This goes to show how restricted and limited map design can be when trying to consider sprint in their decision.

That alone isn’t something that I should have to figure out myself. If there are reliable people willing to post a review for a game in risk for their money’s worth, then why should I do the same? It isn’t “sad” to agree with everything he says, unless you don’t try to cross check with some of the complaints that the community has made. Then your views derived from bdobbins are questionable.
