Yes level of intelligence can be an opinion. Because it can depend on where you draw the line at being intelligent.
I love H5. It plays great and I enjoy the multiplayer. Why should I give two yoinks about what angry youtuber has to say about it? I am going to continue to play and enjoy H5 I don’t care what every joe schmuck review says.

MCC deserved every single bit of vitriol it got. It was known by 343 to be malfunctioning, broken garbage and was released while carefully hiding this from consumers. Then it took them half a year to make it semi-functional and even TODAY it’s littered with game-breaking glitches.

Has any one ever been like oh man this random person review gave the game I like playing a bad review… therefore I am going to stop playing since they didn’t like it… I am going to play the games I like regardless of reviews. I’m not saying you should care about what the reviewers are saying and I’m not saying that you shouldn’t enjoy H5, now that being said you can’t just discount what they are saying because you don’t agree with their position
Both the Dobbins and Angry Joe review highlighted both good and bad points in H5, and there are more than a few bad points with both if we sat back and just accepted the bad points there would be no incentive for 343i to A fix them and B create something better
So again, you may not agree with that either of the reviewers has said, but they were both pretty much spot on with their reviews

You know why? Because believe it or not BDobbins is actually a Halo fan. He vehemently spat on MCC because he CARED and wanted Halo games to never be that bad again. I was exactly the same way when MCC came out when I was posting on this forum. I was absolutely brutal on 343. Then H5 came out and I gave them props for the things they got right. Just like BDobbins.

You’ll pardon me for not taking much stock in your concept of intelligence. Especially since basically nothing you’ve said really addresses anything about him other than you hate him on a personal level because you don’t like what he says.

If I am uncertain about a game I either play the demo, beta or just give it a rent through gamefly and play the game myself and form my own opinion. I don’t need random person reviews to make my decision

Yeah and that is why he looked like an idiot to me. You can make clear and concise videos and not go ranting like a lunatic. I guess some get into that, I guess the same way people find shows like Jerry Springer and Maury as entertaining.

I didn’t need Joe or Favyn or Dobbins to tell me that H5 launched with HALF the content that others did: I bought the game and knew that for myself
I didn’t need Dobbins or Joe to talk about the Req system to know I’m not a fan of it
Just because these reviewers give an un bias critique of the game and doesn’t give it 9’s and 8.5’s like IGN or Gamesport or any of the other so called “video game journalists” who get PAID to write their reviews by developers

Exactly.
I’m slightly more generous and rank it a solid 7/10 because I really love Arena while pretty much boycotting Warzone. The campaign was a complete farce, not at all what was advertised, massively overhyped. Also they completely flat out lied about the length, as usual, and I called that before it came out when people were all jumping up and down over the “twice as big” claims.
But I get Halo for the competitive MP. And overall, it delivered what I personally was most interested in.

This is almost exactly my point. I don’t need every random reviewer reviews posted to tell me what I already know. They all make their videos for views so no I am not going to waste my time watching then especially when it isn’t going to effect me what so ever. Every one should be past these reviews by now. The game has been out essentially a month now every one knows about the campaign, what content it launched with and what content is being added later.

Then I believe its important to give credence to the point that these people by large, are right with what they say.
You know why I watch reviews? Entertainment
It gives me a bit of background and insight to the game and I find them (Joe, Favyn, Dobbins and others) to be entertaining
I personally like that Dobbins and Fayvn lose their collective *&^% when it comes to their halo opinions, that doesn’t mean I have a jerry springer mentality
All it means is that I like how passionate they are about the topic and the entertainment they bring forth while presenting their arguments both for and against.
And like him or hate him Angry Joe has one of the best production values I have seen from a youtube reviewer and you can really tell he loves what he does and goes all out with it. I like that

So shut up with your whole independent, high horse “I don’t need someone to tell me if I should play the game.” Because it’s getting old, and we’re very aware that a review doesn’t affect your enjoyment towards a game.
