My major issue with progression at the moment is that to unlock the base core Mark V you need the premium pass. It just negates any other reward you can receive for the rest of the pass and makes progressing pointless. I feel like the cores should be a reward for the free battlepass rather than for the premium pass.
Additionally, I feel like premium should be the default for people who buy the full game, I don’t think there is much of an issue with it being paid for in the free to play version but if I have to buy it in addition to the game it’ll feel like a kick in the teeth.
But as a side note, I was never a fan of the battlepass and am still not. I feel like reach’s progression system was the best by far as it allowed for what felt like meaningful progression.
The ideal progression system would be similar. Earning credits every game, the amount changing based on Win/Loss, personal performance and medals. Unlocking a fair amount of new things each level but having to use the credits to buy them.
