I’m honestly loving the BattlePass. My first, foremost, and ONLY complaint is that people can buy to Rank 100 within the first day of release. I get it, money is great. It’s just, wouldn’t it be more sensible to allow people a buyout option closer to the end of the season?
The progression isn’t even bad (in regards to BattlePass), but it’s not a very enjoyable experience when the game is barely a month old and people are, to put it bluntly, unnecessarily flexing. Isn’t the whole point of a BattlePass is that it’s a >pass< to justify more >battle<?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
EDIT:
Please remember to keep your feedback constructive and S.M.A.R.T:

People can do whatever they want with their money. Personally I think it’s a waste of 150$. Odds are people who spent that money are going to continue playing the game regardless so why waste the money if you don’t have to
And then what happens when you buy the battlepass? There is nothing else to grind for so do you just stop playing the game? You can rank up 10 times a week with the challenges and the season will last until May 2022. You have plenty of time to “grind”
I think you’re saying two different things. I agree people should just play the game to have fun. However I don’t think the purpose of slow progression is for people to “buy” ranks. 6 months is well more than enough time to complete the battle pass. Hell I’m already rank 50 and it’s been 2 weeks
Where did I say anything in my post was a good thing?
I’m just saying there is indeed things to do after you’ve paid more money than the average halo game for arguably still less cosmetics than the last 3 halo games.
When you say stuff like this, you are clearly in support of people buying stuff in the store and spending time on weekly challenge unlocks. You also really like to say “that said” as if you were making solid points but all you did was tell people to buy from the store and grind more lmao
One of your “things to do” was to buy from the store LOL
Honestly put, its for the people that are not above average/elite in skill. That’s why most pros/competitive players don’t care about it or at least would never spend real money to unlock the stuff.
Checking the store, by definition, is still a thing to do. If you’re such a whale that you’d buy out all levels of the pass, going to the store to look for more ways to spend money is in fact, a thing to do.
But again, I’m not suggesting people actually do any of this. I’m saying this is 343’s intent. They want you to spend money and then spend more money.
Cool factor, and some “pride and accomplishment”, or what did EA say?
Well, completing a battlepass by purchase shouldn’t activate the achievement.
Completing a battlepass through purchases should show up on your profile how you completed it.
Now, let’s have i343 implement something where it matters.
Encounter and level skipping in campaign.
Let people pay to skip playing.
But does buying ranks make them feel better?
Like if I sucked at the game and then resorted to paying to make myself look better to other people I’d feel like even more of a loser lol
You weren’t good enough to unlock something properly so you had to resort to paying. That would just remind me how unskilled I am. Maybe some people’s brains are just wired different.
