I request as many constructive, well thought out arguments as possible and very little (as in none) zero content equivalent posts of “UNSC Easy” or “Godzilla Stomps” sorts of posts please.
now… I think this is where these versus fights go? I’ve seen them here a lot before… anyways: based of my thread at spacebattles (with alterations): Godzilla vs UNSC.
Opponents: UNSC versus (tiny godzilla in movie not big godzilla) godzilla of the Netflix Planet of the Monster’s iteration of godzilla.
UNSC Composition
2 Epoch-Class Heavy Carriers
UNSC Spirit of Fire
(Both ships have equivalent compliments as of Halo: Warfleet)
Prep Time and Before hand knowledge: UNSC knows of Godzilla’s capabilities, UNSC forces also have 24 hours to prepare to assault Godzilla.
Location: Uninhabited Earth, UNSC starts 3 kilometers above surface of earth and 20 kilometers away from Godzilla
Mindsets: UNSC wishes to kill Godzilla with combined arms (ground, air, and ship in this case), Godzilla wishes to survive UNSC Assault.
Well,Godzillas shield could be a problem,as we dont know if it collapse if it takes too much damage and if not,if the UNSC has the technology to counter it.
If it does collapse:
The UNSC just drops Nukes and MAC rounds on Godzilla until its dead.
If not and the UNSC cant counter the shields,they would most likely lure it into an trap using baits,similar as seen in the movie and then feed it some explosives to kill it.
If the UNSC can counter the shield,they would use Kodiaks as baits and trap Godzilla before some Cyclops with the EMP devices destroy it shields and the ships MACs will then finish it offs.
Also,the UNSC could just go overkill and drop a Nova bomb on Godzilla,but then they would loose earth too.

The UNSC could build one using the Spirits of Fire production capabilitys.
But it would be pointless,as they would not only kill Godzilla but also destroy earth,rendering it useless for them,so it would be better for them to just ignore earth and godzilla.

According to the film,he survived several dozen nukes at point blank range,which in combination, are far stronger then a single Mac round.
He would easily survive one or two Mac rounds.

A nuke gives off its energy differently then a kinetic shell at ludicrous speeds. the two are not even remotely comparable.

Due the air friction and the high voltage required to fire the round,the round turns into an fast moving ball of plasma or in a fast moving nuclear chain reaction,depending on launch speed,air density and the voltage.The film stated that Godzilla survived “x amount of nuclear plasma” and MAC rounds can turn into plasma after their firing
So,in atmospehre both weapons give you the same result,a nuclear explosion.

Whats the point… do u want the spartans to help and do something strategic and heroic. Can godzilla even hit the ship in the sky? Wouldnt the ships run out of ammo and troops? Why dose this fight exist? “God” zilla is unbeatable. Maybe the ship should just comit sucide on godzillas face, that might hurt him

Im not good at distances,but I think Godzillas Nuclear blast has an long enough range to shoot at the ships.This wouldnt be a fight that can be won by Spartans,its an fight that will be won by clever use of tactic and resources.
Sure,the UNSC could run out of troops,but an Epoch carrier alone has more Marines on board then the whole army present during the film,so if they make clever use of their troops they wont run out of men too soon.
The Spirit of Fire can produce ammo,so if they start to run low on equipmen,they simply make it new.
Also,I doubt it that the fight would last so long as that the UNSC would run out of ammo.
Also,Godzilla is not unbeatable,the film thats base for this comparsion showed it you and several others to.
Also,this comparsions are for fun,thats why this fight exist.
I know its fun, but it dosnt seem that fair. I think you should add a ship or two. Personaly i think with enouf ship fire from the orginal ships and exausting all the troops would take down godzilla. Say we try to use pelicans to distract him while we peper him with ever ship gun and archer missle.

No,I think its a fair fight.The main faction of the film was less well equipt then the UNSC and didnt pose any orbital suppport.
Just throwing men at Godzilla wouldnt work,he would just obliterate them.
Using air vehicles to lure him into an good position for an well placed orbital strike,is a good idea,but pelicans are too slow and too less manoverable tooavoid Godzillas attacks,so I would recommend the use of Hornets.
