Battle Royale / Multiplayer in Halo Infinite

I feel that if done right Halo Infinite won’t need any Multiplayer what so ever. I know it sounds crazy and it would be weird. But I feel if they make it a very long campaign, like more than 50+ hours total it won’t need one. I personally play games for mostly the campaigns, but that’s just me. I know most people will be against me on this, but look at how Halo 5’s multiplayer was. I didn’t like it and many others would agree with me. So why not release it without multiplayer at first, then in far later updates add it. I just what to see what people think.

I wouldn’t mind a single player launch without multiplayer. I’m sure I read that CD Projekt Red are trying that with Cyberpunk 2077, but the difference is, Cyberpunk is a new IP.

Halo is a well established IP with a huge fan base. I know players that only buy Halo for multiplayer, I think a campaign only release would be a slap in the face to said fans.

Halo 5’s multiplayer was hit and miss imo, when you get a local server it’s second to none imo, but that was a rare occasion for me. Most players I spoke to didn’t like it because it was too competitive.

Yeah… nah. I cannot imagine the amount of backlash 343i is gonna get if they’re gonna to release the game without multiplayer in the package.

Besides, what if the campaign of Infinite is underwhelming? That’ll be a huge gamble for the devs to do. Even if the campaign is good, the community will still be mad because they didn’t release a “finished” product. I put ‘finished’ in quotations because the Halo community expects both a campaign and multiplayer at launch like all mainline games before it.

Halo needs multiplayer. Of course the campaign is fun but a lot of players only play for the multiplayer.

We already have threads on Battle Royal, feel free to use any of the existing ones.

Should add, though, that 343 have no plans to build build BR modes for Halo. They have also confirmed that shipping multiplayer and campaign separately isn’t going to happen
