I have this sneaking suspicion Battle Royale is coming to Halo Infinite. The gameplay feels like it, the maps feel like it, the super high TTK. I’m not mad, a lot of my friends won’t play games now that don’t have a BR mode. I prefer the arena style of Halo 5 but if the BR mode gets all my friends playing then I am here for it.
Here is why I think there is a BR mode coming:
1.) The open world campaign means they already have an enormous map for a BR mode.
2.) The focus on big team battle has been very clear and the increased TTK both lend themselves to a BR.
3.) Battle Pass and heavy customization are best shown off in a Battle Royale.
Thoughts? Despite the team saying the only BR they are interested in is the Battle Rifle, does anyone else feel like this is inevitable?
I hope they don’t do a dedicated BR, and if people want one, they can easily make one when Forge comes out. I just think it’s splits the player base too much and Halo has always been best as an arena shooter.
I bloody hope not, making it free to play so they can do battle passes and and fill it with even more micro transactions, while still charging full price for the campaign mode with things like coop or coop split screen 
and forge to be released in the months following was bad enough…
I’m okay with it as long as they balance it separately. That being said, I think they have a lot of balancing and tweaking to do yet to even think about a BR right now.

And it was already turning into Call of Duty with the kill streak call-ins

343 have confirmed a few times they’re not developing. All the rumours have come from a comment a high profile streamer said who has no connections to 343 or Microsoft.
i must say, with all the BRs we’ve got over the last few years. I would be interested in seeing one for Halo. But I’m very happy with how it is. I think Multiolayer Free to Play is their way to combat Battle Royales.
I find Battle Royale games fairly fun, but I much prefer arena shooters. As someone else said, it splits the playerbase pretty significantly so I’d prefer Halo not to have an official one.
Maybe down the line if population is still really high across the board I’d be okay with it. Would play it a little not a lot.
I’m glad they are not focusing on a Battle Royale. It would take a lot of resources away from the campaign and arena gameplay.
Look at what has happened to COD, People literally have abandoned the normal multiplayer and just play BR. I do not want that to happen to the Halo franchise. There are so many BRs to choose from, Halo should stay out of that type of gameplay.

They have already said several times that there will be no BR mode. But even if there were, it is not a reason for you to be so heavy and you are all the time regretting it.

The high TTK has nothing to do with it, Halo always had high TTK, if anything TTK in Infinite, feels lower than the previous Halos…

Exactly my point, 343 has been chasing the trend their entire time while in charge of the Halo franchise, look how well that has been. H4/5 were not be best success stories in the franchise history. Hopefully they learned their lesson and will beat to their own drum instead of the current state of the FPS market.
I mean look at battlefield, they have stuck to their formula and so many people are hyped for 2042 as they keep improving on their formula that works and keeping players engaged.
This forum is full of Halo fans, not money fans. Yes, BRs are cash grabs due to cosmetics, not because of the gameplay.

The explanation why Halo should not have a battle royal: Slayer, BTB, Ranked, FFA and CTF are core modes from Halo wich almost every Halo player looking forward to. Halo is Halo and dont need to be like other games like PUBG or whatever. Imho this game doesnt need to be an “egg laying woolmilk-pig” (sorry for the translation from german into english :D) i mean, it don’t has to be such an allrounder with every game mod, every player count on the map, to make every single player with any sorts of desire happy. The game is not even finished yet and will not even launch with all modes.
With that said, it’s so much work to put in the game, now, after the current flight, on launch and beyond launch and it’s way more important (not only for me but for almost every Halo Fan and the Franchise and devs itself) to launch the game in a good state and release the missing Content first.

Which, other than Fortnite? Fortnite has a good thing going. Nobody has come close to it.
COD has a really bad Battle Royale and that’s because of all the hackers and cheats. The progression is too easy, in my opinion. They ended up banning people in large groups and even that doesn’t help. The BR is pretty horrible there.
Other than those two, there aren’t any out there that are memorable. Im sure you’re a “true gamer” who always scores 1st or 2nd on their team, has played games since the dawn of time and you’re some l33t “sweat”, as everyone calls “good gamers” now. You must know what a good business model is and you speak for the entire gaming community. Of course they’re going to charge money for skins etc. That’s business.
My opinion is this is shaping up to be one of the best Halo’s. If you have so many issues with it, or don’t want to buy in to their game, just don’t play.
