Halo infinite is going to have battle royal, it is literally on their website. Just go to it change your geo-location to Japan, translate and scroll down to additional information. How does it feel knowing that the reason why there was no multiplayer reveal and we got 360 graphics after FIVE YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT, because they are trying to turn the series into fortnite for kids?

When your done you can come back and cope with whatever excuse you can come up with to defend phil spencer, but this is pretty indefensible. They don’t even have the brass balls to post it on the US version.

It says Genre- Battle royal shooting, which could be a mistranslation for first person shooter.

I agree. I dont think it makes it any less quality of a game to feature a Battle Royale game mode and I think a Halo version of that could be really cool. It’d need to be done right and given alot of attention but I think it could be great for the Halo franchise by bringing in more players to the fanbase.
I don’t get why people care if a BR mode is in Infinite. If the entire MP suite were only BR then we should all worry, but it’s not. And if there isn’t a BR, give the forge community a couple months and we’ll have a suite of BR modes to choose from.
It seems that more and more games are starting to go for Battle Royale-style. For some odd reasons, it doesn’t bother me and I enjoy getting reward for something I do in the game. Feels like it’s a plus. Just my humble opinion.
Is it a translation error (from Japanese to English) or a mislabeling error (Japanese text is just wrong)? Anyone here that can actually read the native Japanese text and shed some light?
Either way - very hopeful that this is not the case and that 343 is sticking to its statement that only BR in Halo is the battle rifle.

If you copy and paste the katakana text into google it does come up with the JP Wikipedia page for battle royal… So it’s a typo
First, historically they never show off multiplayer first. Second, the graphics are far above 360 era graphics. And third, I’m am totally okay with a battle royal mode.
My guess:
343 doesn’t dedicate any resources to creating a BR mode. But instead they have had a few high skilled community forgers dedicated to creating a Halo spin on BR for launch.
Halo’s version of a BR game mode would be fun! I doubt this actually means it will be a BR but I have had some fun in BR games like Fortnite (before they ruined it) and Apex. Halo has the ability to make a good BR game mode with it’s sandbox. Just because you lump it with Fortnite which you consider to be a kids game doesn’t mean it will ruin Halo. It would be a fun refreshing addition to the game and the map for the BR game could definitely increase the creativity of Forge.
