As we already know 343i has changed the scope on a battle rifle in Halo 5 Guardians. But has anyone else seen the battle rifle without the scope? well I found a pic of the BR without the scope on the 343 Halo 5 website.
Theres the link, look at the spartan on the left at the top of the page. As you can see his BR has NO SCOPE! does this mean there will be interchangeable scopes in halo 5 guardians? Do you guys (the community) want this in halo or will it have too much (pardon my language) “cod” feel?? What do you guys think? Should this be implemented into halo or do you feel it will ruin the “halo” feel??
Interesting, though if you could find an in-game screenshot you would actually have some evidence. That promotional banner likely wasn’t made just with photoshop and what someone could pull from theater…
However, this is yet another case were referring to COD is a sin. Rainbow Six for one had interchangeable scopes back when COD was still a “historical” franchise. And for the record, it was a good feature that allowed for some customization but without affecting core gameplay mechanics. You can also parallel it with interchangeable crosshairs in Unreal Tournament. Its a matter of preference, and its generally beneficial to let this variety of preference have some expression.
I’m betting on it being a different gun that simply has a similar look. Like back when the first CG trailer was revealed, showed a spartan holding a black and yellow BR type weapon, but it had roughly 68 rounds in the mag. (denoted by the ammo counter on the gun)
Because of lack of classes, I doubt weapon customization will come into play, since no weapon will really be “yours.” Customizing a starter (or a pick up) seems to not be what they’re aiming (ha) for.

It might be the MA5K or a successor to it. Full-auto utility weapon perhaps?
