After evaluating the DMR and BR it seems that I’ve learned about the weapons.
It turns out to me that the BR is “the get in your face weapon” I constantly KO’d DMR users in close range.
After looking in theatre DMR users tend to “freak out” and “choke” on the final shot up close.
Using the BR showed me the ways of the ambush and the flank. First part of playing is knowing your opponents loadouts. You can go head to head with the carbine, BR and light rifle.
But you need to get the jump on the DMR player. Since the DMR has a high ROF you will need to use stealth. Try to close in as quickly as possible and surprise them using a grenade or getting the first shots in.
Now going head to head:
Strafing is nearly eliminated with aim assists and bullet magnetism.
Try incorporating jumping and crouching make the user work for the head shot and try to close in.
I say close in because the BR wont win in long range. Also, the BR stunts movement so the quicker you get the jump the better.
If this doesn’t work for you I’m very sorry. But if you have tips feel free to share :).
> Most DMR users do choke and that gives me plenty of time to finish them off. Weird how I am a DMR user too.
Yes most of them panic right after the shields pop. Its quite a conundrum it use to happen to me. But using the BR and not seeing the sheilds pop until the final headshot.

Long story short if your willing to put in 8x the effort you might be almost as good as an unskilled DMR user putting in NO effort seriously though I use the BR out of protest but if I’m out of ammo w.e and pick up the DMR it’s like sooooo much Easyer and better in everyway
Getting hit by the BR in general is pretty disorientating, especially to someone who is using a Single Shot weapon.
BR is the better choice in Close-Medium Range, and the Storm Rifle and Assault Rifle come in handy at Close-Medium as well as disorientating weapons.
Suppressors a monster at Close Range but it is not quite as disorientating, shots do not seem to cause you to flinch as badly, but it will kill you faster than the others if your accuracy is good ;).
I would go with the BR-Storm Rifle Load Out if I did not normally use Resupply as my Tactical Package because those two together are brutal.
On the larger scale, BTB pretty much, maps, you want to stick with DMR and Light Rifle most of the time, but simply due to the range and more zoomed in scopes. DMR is a monster, but it definitely is beatable :). The Carbine is generally better on smaller maps than the BR and DMR, but it takes more pacing and accuracy, its very similar to the way it functioned in Halo 3.
> So hitting opponents and inflicting recoil that is random and unpredictble from opponents POV due to lag caused by the games poor networking is skill?

> LMFAO.
It has actually been proven that it does cause flinch and stunts movement. Its not random its something that the weapon actually does.
You have to watch out for the people who have boltshot as a secondary. If you get close to the opponent and get shot by a boltshot, you are dead. Or, your shields will drop. They can easily melee you or switch to the DMR to finish you.
The BR is an excellent weapon. However, at the game’s current state, the BR is ideal for medium range. Because people use the Boltshot as a medium-close range weapon and DMR as a long range weapon, it could be tough going against those individuals.
You can throw a lot of DMR users off if you “short hop” with the jetpack in a firefight. It’s still requires timing, if you do it wrong you may only lead into his shot and get yourself killed.
