I’m pretty sure it’s not against the rules to post on an old thread. The resurrection of this thread was relevant for at least one persone because I learned something new.

It’s necroposting and that’s never a good thing. It doesn’t matter if someone learned something new from the resurrection of the thread if the thread is so out of date to the point where you can find the same information on almost any website that covers the same topic.
It doesn’t have to be a rule on a website, necroposting is something you do not do. It’s common sense.
It’s just like thread bumping or creating multiple threads, you don’t do it. If your thread’s topic isn’t getting views, you don’t force others to see it you let it die.

All preorder bonuses like these are attainable in-game. (You’ll just have it early by preordering)
The customizations are aesthetic only in all modes EXCEPT warzone.
Part of the point of warzone is to used customized weapons to try get an edge over the other team anyway.

I didn’t create this thread. It was there and I used it. If I had created a new thread to get more details on this someone would have linked this thread and said I didn’t do research before posting and that I’m lazy. Also my primary source of information for Halo is this forum. It’s the source I trust most because the people here are all big fans.

You need to look at the dates though. There is no defending that someone necroposted on this thread and now everyone is using it again despite this being old information. Even if it wasn’t you, another user did and it needs to stop
So I’m going to get out BR’d by all the Gamestop people when I first hop into Warzone? Feelsbadman

I’m not trying to start a fight here but you are wrong. If it isn’t against the rules there is no reason for you to play forum cop and try to regulate “what ought to happen.” Waypoint has WAAAAY too many of those as is.
You are a good poster. But you can’t make rules up on your own. Necro posting is only frowned upon if it revives an irrelevant thread or a troll thread. This is relevant and people are learning/discussing Halo 5. There is nothing wrong at all here.
I recall 343i saying there would be vehicle variants with different weapons/stats, I’ve just kind of assumed there would be weapons with different stats too. They’ll clearly be limited to Warzone while the skins work in arena. If you watch Warzone footage you’ll notice when people select their weapon it says “battle rifles” or “pistols” plural, which to me implies weapons with different stats.
I don´t think there´s anything bad on it. I mean, everything is game-unlockable, and the improves are only for Warzone. I mean, losing a duel because the rival has got an improved gun doesn´t matter. You´ll get it later. Also, I think you´ll have to request for them, and will require some REQ points, ain´t it? There´s also a long-barreled SMG, a scoped AR more accurate, another AR with an energy bayonet (would be cool that at sprinting you charge up with it, allowing to instant kills after a long charge), or a scout-supressed DMR. And there will be sure as h*** more, not counting the Legendary guns. I saw about a Shotgun with a Promethean thing that will allow to higher strength and incineration. I even think about Legendary vehicles. Thinking on a Classic Warthog, tougher and with a non-overheating machine gun. I personally made the Gamestop pre-order, so I´ll get the BR. Ironically, I never liked BRs, prefering DMR or even ARs, and now back, SMGs. Also, I don´t think that there´re gonna be much duels due to the fact that there´re 12 players on each team and a lot of AIs, that by the way, will be stronger than the ones shown. They made them weaker on the Gameplays so people could experience it better. Also, because of the same reason, people will earn REQ much slower than the one shown, they made it so you got it faster on those so we got the chance of experiencing everything. It´s a super BTB with parts of Domination, Invasion and Campaign. Oh, and standard BTB playlist won´t be on the game, but 343I will create it later.
I would just like to point out that 343 has stated that ALL pre-order content will be able to be unlocked in-game via Req Packs. So, people who pre-order will not have exclusive armor or weapons, they will just have it before everyone else.

Exactly. There is absolutely zero reason to complain.
Based on the description, I am assuming this weapon skin is used for Warzone. In Warzone, there are different guns with different stats. The primary weapon cards with different stats (assult rifle, magnum, BR, and DMR) are permanent and can be equipped as soon as you have to right energy level. These weapons are ONLY for Warzone. For Arena, there are separate weapon skins that do NOT have modifiers on them.

Yeah, probably. I can’t wait to try out Warzone. I like regular PvP, but being able to choose your weapons and having PvE mixed in just sounds incredible.

Stop acting like you’re in charge here, you are not. Let the people post and if the mods disagree they will deal with it.
Sounds like Thorn and The Last Word all over.
Game have the same weapon for pre order… which i get
honestly though im not too bothered… its a nice to have and ill probably use it but im not too bothered, its just for aesthetics
Its GameStop being -Yoinks!-. 343i HAS ALREADY confirmed that there are no game altering REQ Packs

I’m simply following the rules given to us to follow on this website. It’s against the rules to necropost/forum bump. Guess what? This thread has been necroposted twice now. Stop it already. Have I broken rules on here before? Hell yes, I’ve even been banned three times. But, those were under different circumstances. Necroposting was not the cause and it’s something I hate more than anything when on a forum. It creates traffic and wastes space for threads that should be used by threads about about information brand new, not four months old. If you are confused about something and there has not been a thread about it for more than a month, then you can create a new thread about it.

You do realize that Warzone is all about weapon variants that affect gameplay right…?
