I always use the BR in SWAT, and get destroyed by the DMR…

Exactly my point, DMR is barely better than the br at long range, but there isn’t any big maps other than Big Team.
How can something be op when it takes one bullet in the right place to kill someone?
OP, here is an idea… use the BR in swat then! We’ll see you in a few hours when you’re back moaning about the how the DMR is OP in swat when you still get beastied by it.

The lag last night was horrible. Like 3/5 matches made SWAT unbearable. But I hate quitting games. The battle rifle seemed like the best choice since people kept lagging every where. I prefer the dmr.
The DMR is effing OP in swat. If you don’t use it, you’re going to get picked off at any distance.
I made that mistake picking the BR, and I engaged in a battle with a far away opponent. Even though he was standing still and my reticule was on his head, he did not die. geez.
The Br and the DMR are even in swat. I play swat almost exclusively, the two guns match up evenly
I find the DMR to be the most satisfying choice in SWAT.
Not sure how the LR would fair, it’s mostly about the sound and the DMR just punches them all away.
The LR is great scoped but rather wimpy sounding when not scoped.
I think the Carbine has too high a RoF and ammo reserve to be put in, the Magnum allows for limited ammo but a good RoF for those looking for an experience similar to the big-C.
Having the LR in SWAT seems like it’s ok, considering the reliability of the DMR and the swipe-ability of the BR. The LR is never both at the same time so I’d like it to be in.

I rather like the combat dichotomy between the DMR and BR in Halo 4 SWAT, but I would like it if there were variants of the mode in matchmaking that limited it to BR starts or DMR starts. It would solve a lot of the quibbling about what precision weapon is OP or whatever.

yeah I agree with you on the DMR or BR only starts.
You didn’t explain your argument at all. The BR has a three shot burst, so you ARE more likely to get the head shot, at closer ranges. The DMR has a better chance to kill you at distances where the auto-aim is phased out for the BR. They both suit different styles of play, they are fairly balanced.

How can the BR be OP, it only takes 1 hit to kill a person. its fair game, you’re choosing to use a gun that shoots 1 round per trigger pull, or semi auto in laymen’s terms, compared to the BRs 3 round burst…hmmm
Some maps are better for some weapons. I like that there isnt one weapon that is great at everything.
