Battle Rifle Frustration !!!!!!!!

Okay don’t mean to sound like a crying lil girl or beat on a dead horse but here we go. Once and for all, IS THIS BR SHOT LEAD OR HITSCAN. The reason I am asking is because for some weird reason when I play matchmaking or customs with the DMR it seems like hitscan. Which means when that reticule is red and I pull that trigger it is a hit. However I swear on everything when I pull that trigger with a red reticule and the Battle rifle weapon is in my hands it’s all about the luck of the draw. Sometimes it counts sometimes it doesn’t. Again dmr 5 shot every time (or really a nice double tap for for safety) but BR dude like 8 or 9 trigger pulls. I understand aiming is the key to both of these weapons but what confuses me is I watch Tsquared’s gamespot gameplay and he said that he leads his shots. Now I was a beast at h2 and h3 br ( mainly h3 after I figured out it was shot lead). Someone please please please tell me this answer . Hopefully from 343i lol. Oh and please let me know if its lag comp or whatever that I need to also take into effect. Pictures are nice or videos too!!!

agree with ya that the BR is feelin’/workin’ soft.
for the cartridge size with shot veracity, it should be a much more dangerous weapon.
the power feels more like a short range weapon.

Exactly bro!!! Check out Gamespots gameplay interview and and you hear him say you have to lead your shots and I haven’t tried it yet but again he’s a pro however I am aware he doesn’t work at 343i . No disrespect Tsquared , I’m a huge fan and want lessons lol!!!

Really? Br is easy to use.

The BR is hitscan, 343 confirmed it, the only precision weapon in Halo 4 that isn’t is the Light Rifle. The problem I think is, 1) the BR is the least accurate precision primary weapon. 2) the BR has recoil, meaning you have to compensate by aiming lower than usual.

Both DMR and BR have to be led on moving targets, imo. Further from target, harder the shot. DMR bullets are larger and more destructive, BR bullets are slightly smaller and less destructive, but tri bursting shots. You can miss two of the three bullets easily, not leading/landing the whole shot. Conversely, you can be sloppy with the BR and still deadly, missing the first and/or second bullet while landing the third, pulling into the target during burst. IE swat. I believe its easier to be more accurate/effective at longer distances with the DMR, but easier to be effective at closer distances with the BR. Effectiveness of any weapon comes down to the user in any event anyway, vs debates are kinda moot.

Pretty realistic physics, whatever system it is, imo.

edit: and the lead is very miniscule, and every precision weapons physics are different. IE covy prec. weapons projectile speed is a bit slower than human prec. weapons, lead has to be a hair bigger, and the moreso the further from target.

Thanks so much fellas ill give it a shot tonight - rouge and blurrski (no sarcasm)
