I’ve been playing alot of swat recently and noticed how the battle rifle has been put into this game mode,I personally think it has taken the skill out of swat as headshots are easier to get as its a burst (obviously) whereas if you use a single shot gun like the DMR and Magnum its harder (unless your good with headshots) to hit the head.
What does everyone else think?
DMR IS WAY EASIER. First off, there is no recoil on the DMR as to the battle rifle. Seconly, it takes the same amount of shots for both the dmr and br in swat so its balanced. Third, the DMR is already overpowered and your trying to take away the br.
After playing Reach don’t you dare complain about my BR. lol
I use BR on small maps and DMR on big maps they each have an advantage over the other.
I would say that for now SWAT seems the only gamemode without any particular problem. The lag makes it unplayable many times, but when connection is fine, it’s all fully balanced.
sorry forgot the similarities between shots with the dmr my bad and i do love this gun i just prefer it for just team slayer and other game modes

Well SWAT did start with the BR so… nooo…
i think we should have two diffrent styles;
midrange (BR, magnum, Carbine, magnum)
for smaller maps like Haven and adrift and such
and longrange (LR, magnum, DMR, magnum)
for bigger maps
that’s just what i think
DMR requires the most skill. BR fires 3 shots, If I miss the first I’ll always get the second.
Actually the DMR, BR and Magnum are all really balanced in SWAT.
DMR for bigger maps like complex, BR for mid-long rang and Magnum for anything closer.
I have a vid in my fileshare of some guy with a BR pulling off a sweet double kill (he killed me, but credit where it’s due) - he fans the burst-fire and gets two headshots in a single burst. Very neat.
Personally if I’m playing SWAT on Adrift or Haven I use the Magnum almost exclusively - I thought I was one of the few weirdos who did this but looking at the postgame stats more and more people are realising that the Magnum is the way to go. It’s the most “agile” gun in SWAT, has least recoil, and quickest rate of fire. The small magazine size is irrelevant: you’re doing for headshots.
Man, do I love the Magnum.

NO. DON’T TOUCH SWAT. It’s the most balanced playlist, and should never be cycled out or tampered with unless adding new maps.
