Dont get me wrong, the new design for the BR is nice, however, i think it should look a little more like this. To me this BR looks like a more updated model than the new one.
While the current CMT Battle Rifle is nice (though I prefer it with the blue LEDs and scope than the green shown there), I’ve always found it to be far too similar to the Halo 2/3 BR for my taste. I like how the Halo 4 BR has a nice refreshing design, yet is instantly recognizable as a Battle Rifle.

To me it looks too much like a reach weapon. Take a look at the AR and the halo 4 BR and they seem similar in design.
Something about the squarish design reminds me of the vindicator from Mass effect. Which I’m okay with. I love the new BR design.
The older designs look to much like 20th century weapons like the M16. Or the FAMAS. The new BR looks like a weapon ahead of it’s time, like any Halo weapon should.
It’s not about appearance but about personality. Does the BR make you lau? Make you happy? Do you enjoy being around the BR? if yes, no matter what the BR looks like, you have to make a move.

I love the new design. Scope shape and led light is part of why.
New one is great. Nuff said.

Man never seen someone get that offended by a gun model before…
The Halo 2 Battle Rifle looked the best by far. The H4 one looks quite ugly from the first person perspective and has a bland, dull colour.
Looks fine to me.

For some reason that looks like it could have been a human weapon from the Human-Promethean War.
Guaranteed if they would have kept the same design as Halo2/Halo3 people would have actually used in this game.
