Having to pay micro transactions for a Battle Pass will ruin Halo.
Halo isn’t about aggressive monetization. I’m playing this multiplayer mode to get excited and amped up about the upcoming full game release which is what Halo is all about. I’m ready to pay the £50 once the game goes live, but I am never going to pay for items that clearly exist in the game, and that I should earn by spending my time playing their game instead of earing it by paying cold hard cash.
It’s really off putting, seeing yourself “rank up” and seeing that all the “decent” rewards for my time are gated behind my wallet.
Also, the amount of EXP you get for playing the battle pass objectives is crazy compared to what you get for actually trying to win a game. You get so much more for completing pointless objectives compared to putting in the effort to get a win for your team.
I hope that 343 can see how these systems can damage a beloved franchise. Don’t follow the path of Activision, we have all seen the likes of them too often in the news lately.
Yours sincerely,
