Have been slogging through the season 2 battle pass and finally- ‘100’
Guess what the reward was? A yellow box around the 100 and congratulations on completing the battle pass. No other reward, didn’t unlock anything., What was the point! Thought at least it would unlock everything in season 2. But no you have to pay to play “Dress Up” Barbie !

It’s disgusting, the only reason to buy the battle pass is for the cosmetics, but most cosmetics are still locked behind the walls of the store. This is a rare case of “343 gets their cake and eats it too”, the cake that keeps on giving, unless of course people wise up.

@General_Fox, is correct you are making complaints about a practice used widely in the gaming industry. Also they provide credit in order to get the next battle pass in rotation for free.
So you pay once and get these colored boxed rewards all the time.
I’m confused I thought everyone agreed that the season 2 pass was leaps better than the s1. Can someone explain to me like I’m an 8yr old?
What do you mean cosmetics unlocked but still paywalled in the store? Do you mean the additional armor sets for MK7, Mk5b and Rakshasa?
If so I can’t say I’m not surprised. This was the general gripe about halo going f2P. No one wanted this, there are a few PC games that ask for a membership to play, or a one time fee access to a long standing game. But my question to you is even if halo had been a payed game, and it’s battle passes all inclusive, what is a good price for us to pay?

Destiny asks around 80-120 a year to play it.
Warframe is totally free to play but nearly 100% of it’s cosmetics are paywalled unless you do these steps
1 play the game to aquire relics
2.play relic missions to aquire a resource to make your relics better tiered (1-4 require increasing amounts. Max is 100 void traces)
3. Pray to the sweet mommy lotus that you get what you want out of this 6 piece kinder egg.
4. Lather and rinse steps 1-3 until you get a full set or are loaded with junk, mods and useless items to you
5. Finder a seller… Wait for it… It could take a few hours, or a few months.
6.take those scraps of platinum you earned and buy that new color palette bucko.
But this requires an in-game economy.
What is considered fair to us and the devs at this point? Not the higher ups the devs.
Halo is now f2p that’s not going anywhere, the battlepasses could absolutely be augmented to go up a few tens of levels sure, but with cross core coming the only logical thing to do is allow an alternative means to earn credits weekly and open the armory to allow us to buy things whenever using the store front.
Finishing my rant, it’s not really that the season 2 battle pass sucked, its the current interface for acquiring, equipping, and customizing armor that is both predatory and unfair. I may be a bit bias cuz anything wolf is my game and I can’t control my impulsive spending; But I was very happy with the customization options given in the pass and the fact that I’ll never have to buy another pass again.
Im guessing its your first time playing a game with a battlepass? Theyve been around for like a decade

But you can see the content of the pass the entire time - what’s free and what’s not.
Did you think all of the paid stuff would be free when you finished it? Why would anyone ever pay then?

i hope someone makes a topic with this title, so everyone gets to know what halo infinite is really about. as i got my favorite items i was done but with more and more cosmetics everytime appearing , also as told in other threads , many armors dont look like spartans anymore but we have ww2 soldiers or ww 1 diesel and cat ears and cyber punk, wait i found the topic its :

so as more and more cosmetics appear i dont feel like playing a sci fi shooter but… yes barbie dress up doll, more people will feel the same for sure, maybe we are able to get a glitter dress as armor core soon… xd

Every level you know exactly what you are going to get. There is a lock in every item that you wont get unless you pay for the BP. There is no need to grind in advance if you know that you are not intrested.
And yes you basicaly only get xp booster and swap packs if you are a F2Player.
Only the fractures BP are free but they follow a concept, if you dont like it then there is nothing to grind for neither.
I can do that for free playing Destiny 2 with a hall of a lot more options. I have no idea what 343 was thinking when they designed the “customization” in this game. Well, I do, but it’s not worth my time.
