Hi, I thought in one of the announcements for the heroes of reach season they said the first season battle pass would be free to all players? Why is it locked behind a pay wall?

do you keep the battle pass once you pay for it?
Right? I’m sure I remember Phil Spencer or someone saying it.
If that’s true and it happens, I want a refund. If it isn’t but they said it was, shame on 343i.
My fear is it was just referring to the “free track” though.
If that’s the case, which it very well maybe, then it is pretty deceptive and quite disappointing.

I’m pretty sure the only thing they built up as being free was the Event that the Yoroi is gonna be part of.
I fear that this is the case… as soon as I heard they were going with a “battle pass” system (because "yay, let’s do the same thing everyone else is 
") I knew they were going to have a paid version with all the good stuff in it. Sure, it’s all cosmetic… but I hate having to choose which game I want to focus on and spend all my time on, just to make the battle pass worth it. All of my favourite games do it now… and there’s no longer “grind everything out eventually”… it’s all a ploy on FOMO now… make things limited time only… and I know they said that you can go back and work on any season, which is definitely an improvement… but still. I hate being made to choose a game for a certain amount of time instead of being able to play something different each day, or dependent on how I feel. Now I’m locked into Game X until the season is over, or I stick with the free battle pass which always has garbage rewards.
