The Battlepass is just flat draining. I’ve played a lot of MCC, reach, and 3. I only ever moderately cared about the progression systems in those games, most of the time just flat ignoring them.
This games battlepass feels draining in a way that hard to describe. It pops up in my face with epic music, like i’m supposed to have some epic progress, and half the time it does nothing, the other half it just gives this tiny little movement that feels lackluster.
It’s so draining its sapped my care for the cosmetics it has. I would rather see it disappeared, and all the cosmetics with it, then deal with it.

A new progression system is to be added post-launch I believe. As for the Battle pass being draining,; My friend we are two days in, the current progression system is based on daily challenges and weekly challenges. And may I remind you, Infinite’s multiplayer is not built around the Battle Pass or the cosmetics. That is most likely why Battle Passes are re-accessible at any time, and why we get 3 months to redeem them. In the words of someone that once said something “Nobody cares, work harder.”

It is not impossible to put predatory cash practices in a game that is ‘free to play’. And I’m not here talking about the purchase of the battle pass itself, but the way they encourage you to fork out money over and over again to expedite the process of leveling your battle pass.
The battle pass purchase itself is not the problem here. How they implemented it is very much a cash-grab and incredibly toxic.

They dont force you to buy each tier, they even give double xp along the way so you can get there without spending more money. I do believe this will be fixed with the new progression system.
Have they given us details about the new system?
In an inside infinite made in maybe August? I dont quite remember.
I’ve played for over 10 hours and just hit level 3 
such a joke. I can’t even use the armor upgrades I unlocked either.
If you had some thing solid, I’d take a look. But this is something you need to hound companies about as soon as you see it. If you wait, it never gets changed. It needs to be changed. There is no reason it should be difficult to gain experience through a battle pass. It should be a supplement to the gameplay experience.
