i got a real bone to pick with this system because honestly, locking ONE LEVEL to each day is frustrating for people who just got back from something and being denied because “hey you should of been playing our game every day of your life :>” is just pure garbage
You’re free to feel that way, and I’m sorry it frustrated you. It was meant to be an advent calendar, where you get your items for basically just logging in. Maybe there will be some way for you to warn them in the future.
I get that it sucks when you end up missing out on things because you had to travel or some other thing in your life just meant the opportunity wasn’t open to you. But there’s no way 343 can reasonably account for every single person’s specific life situations. For most people, Christmas and New Year’s is when they get extra time off and so are more likely to be around to play these video games. The event also ran for 2 weeks with 10 rewards, so that was 4 extra days that you could miss and still get all 10 items.

An advent calendar allows you to pick which things you get, this just gives you crappy items if you missed a few days. I clearly wanted the emblem over the armor coating yesss
they literally could of done a better system but guessss what, team lead has gone straight into “buh what if we make it even more fomo” there are plenty of other games that do these that are 100% more consistent, better, and more player friendly
Wouldn’t be much of a Christmas Event if it went well past Christmas unfortunately . Just gotta hope they’ll include other opportunities to unlock stuff at another time.
They will probably make this garbage available every year at this time, just like they did on Halo 5 ( ie: valentines day, thanksgiving, Christmas ). They gave the same login rewards ( name plates ) for at least 5 years on Halo 5
