Halo 3 or Halo 4 soundtrack?
I can’t decide, I really can’t.
Halo 3. No contest.
Halo 4 had some nice tracks but it really didn’t feel…right to me. That and no proper Halo theme is a big no-no. I don’t care if it popped up in a cutscene for five seconds, unless that wonderful piece of music is played at the main menu it ain’t no Halo. 
Not to mention Halo 3’s teaser trailer was legendary. Halo 4’s was…ok.
Halo’s soundtrack just isn’t the same without O’Donnel and Salvatori, nothing can change that.
The only things that Neil Davidge composes is repetitive dubstep and the only thing that Kazuma Jinnouchi…? composes is Star Wars ripoffs.
343 really needs to work on their choices when it comes to composers because I happen to HATE dubstep and ripping off songs is NOT necessary.
But we wont be getting Martin O’Donnel and Micheal Salvatori back, they have been with Bungie throughout it’s entire existence and that will never change.
Why isnt Halo 2 on this list?? Its the most masterful piece of Halo music ever end of story!! But if I have to pick between these two I pick Halo 3.
Halo 3 had guitars and monks, Halo 4 does not. I’ma go with Halo 3.

…But for a Halo game, Halo 4’s soundtrack is blasphemy.
