So I have seen multiple posts over the months about how battle golf should be removed from action sack. Personally, I got a kick out of it when I played it… I give it and its creator kudos it seems really creative and its kinda whacky, both can be a recipe for fun but often times its not… its kinda a drag.
The other night I played action sack with a friend of mine who can’t handle arena or warzone and we got battle golf. I knew what I was in for but I was kind of excited to be there for my goofy friend’s first reaction to it… or so I thought. I guess instead of removing the game mode from the playlist it has been updated? Instead of 5 rounds that added things like mines, fires, things that increased movement speed and hamster tubes there was 3, which I was thankful for and we didn’t have to deal with the tedious hamster tubes… BUT there was a reset button for the golf ball!
Is that new? It seems new to me, I never experiences it or saw it before, then again I am not some kind of battle golf expert. I think that button is really, really stupid, because for the whole game somebody camped at it and messed with the whole team by resetting it every time we moved the ball. Sometimes that person would let us make some progress with the ball and then reset it on us.
Is this thing actually new?
The reset button has been there for as long as Battle Golf has been around for. It’s really meant to get the ball back should it fall of the map. A shame that someone decided to rapidly press it and screw your team over, but there’s nothing that can be done about it.

I thought if the ball fell off the map it automatically reset. Every time the ball feel into the water I don’t ever recall someone manually ensuring it reset to the tee.

The ball does reset itself automatically, but only after a painful amount of time has passed (during which the other team has an easy opportunity to score). It’s faster if someone rushes back to spawn and hitting the button to get it back.
Battle Golf can be awesome when you get decent team mates but sadly it’s pretty rare to get good teammates that play the game the way it’s supposed to be played.

i think it could be a lot of fun with a full team. Haven’t got to experience that for myself yet though.

Now a days it’s like that with almost every playlist lol.

Not new but it’s kind of annoying/helpful. I’ve seen people on my team constantly reset it then I’ve seen the opposing team try to steal our ball, keep it on their side so having a reset can be helpful sometimes but really depends on the team.
The only thing that sucks is that people betray all the time in that. On that note, friendly fire is turned on stupidly. And even worse, you can’t boot those -Yoinks!- who keep swinging without concern for their surroundings. Idk wtf they were thinking removing the ability to boot people from Action Sack.
But yeah, the game mode itself is designed quite well and requires a lot of teamwork, offense, and defense to win. And the fact that the map changes each round makes it all the more exciting and engaging.
