Battel Pass - Skill based Progress

A question that has been asked now a few times but there is still no answer to that. Why is there no skill based progression? Right now it is just dumb game by game grinding. Sure the weekly quest may push your progress, but has nothing to do with skills or trying to win a game. It’s plain grinding and nothing more.

The Issue with the current syste I’ve seen so far is this:

  • The current system invites players to start games and go afk to grind their way up to 100 since wins and loses give tha same amount of point. This is a real thing
  • Since there are challenges which are really hard to solve in just one 15min game some people just ignore the games objective to farm what is needed to complete the quest. For example 10 kills with the gravity hammer. Some dude just camped a narrow passage to get the kills but ignored the objective of capturing the flag
  • There are way too many weekly quests to complete for a casual player for not to leave a game if the weapons setup or the game mode itself isn’t in your favour to finish the challanges quickly

All the above is a real issue. I work and consider myself a casual player. I tried to finish the weekly quests but at the end I failed because of 3 quests remaining . I have to say I played way more than I intended to do. I was litteraly sitting every evening to try and complete the challanges. I’m not a total noob either so how should any casual player finish those weekly challanges?

I believe a skill based progress and reduced need of weekly challanges for the ultimative weekly challange would make halo infinite multiplayer way more appealing for casual players than it is now.

Right now there is no fun in all this.
