Basically how I feel about Halo 5 right now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vpeS-KrdM

18:25 - 22:22

This right here is basically how I feel about the game and the community in general right now.

Update: Please refrain from insulting me or the man in the video it does not serve your argument well, and makes you seem juvenile. Also I don’t really care about sprint or no sprint Iv’e never cared about either. The whole situation I’m trying to show is the constant bombardment of hatred for this game is and people that actually enjoy it is palpable. If you don’t enjoy this game, I implore you to elegantly and justly express your problems. But at the same time make sure to understand and compromise with others of differing opinion. Remember a different opinion doesn’t make them -Yoink!-.

Everyone does feel that way. Debating or discussing something in this forum is pointless.

Ok, so you gave up because people have different opinions and the ability to prove you wrong, cause that’s all I got from that section of the video. All he did was say he didn’t liked being proven wrong, or actually having to conversate with people who have different opinions, reasoning, and/or solutions.

The moment he said “People want a Halo 3 carbon copy, so go play MCC, since it’s fixed now” I closed the video. I don’t know if he’s trolling or delusional, but either way, can’t be taken seriously.

I would agree, but if you actually watch the video he was referring to what you say he did that’s what they did. The video was him trying to find a way to find a nice median between people that don’t like sprint and people that do. But if you actually look at the comments what you’ll mostly see is remove it, or something that actually had articulation but still in the end told him to shut up and that he wasn’t a true halo fan(because of some arbitrary reason such as sprint). i don’t care if people don’t like sprint, all the power to them. But it’s slightly hypocritical when people ask for others to consider no sprint, but then turn around and start talking smack about people that like sprint. I do agree that he was to pensive about the fact and didn’t show some hypocrisy in his statements. Personally i don’t care if there is sprint or there isn’t. Do you hate sprint? If so I hope that one day they will add something that will satiate your needs.

I can see where your coming from but please don’t start insulting him, but i do agree that comment was a little on the nose. But I implore you to not dissuade others from an opinion because you don’t agree with it. If you would like you could explain into further detail on your statement and we could come to a mutual understanding.

If he actually thinks that the MCC is fixed by now, then there is no discussion to be had here, since his arguments are based on another reality than the one I live in.
It’s like arguing maths with someone who is basing his calculations upon 1+1=3.
This might also explain why he is of the opinion that people want carbon copies of Halo 3. Y’know, since we’re all aware that sprint is the only change that separates Halo 3 from H5G, and removing it would make both games indistinguishable. /s

But it’s also pure fact that it is very playable, really one of the biggest issues with it right now is the exponentially long search times. Which usually take up to two minutes max. I know, I watched that video too but in the end what he suggested made it so sprint was just not necessary. I don’t remember exactly what he said, but from a logical standpoint, what he suggested would add on a lot of extra work to the people making the game, when it could easily be cut by not having the feature in.

I understand what you mean, sadly we’re in a situation where there will be no way to appease both sides. the only way I can think of them getting close to doing it would be them getting rid of sprint but increasing the default move speed. Of course not to the levels of sprint but a nice midway point.

I actually haven’t played much myself, yet still ran into quite a lot. Checkpoints being broken in campaign. The game completely blackscreening for players in coop. Random crashes. I won’t elaborate further, because A) this isn’t the correct forums for that and B) there’s an entire website dedicated to MCC bugs and glitches.

Actually, that’s the one thing that I shouldn’t be doing, seeing as most players who enjoy these mechanics ought to be playing the game right now.
Snarky comments aside, I don’t really care who I’m antagonizing and who not. Feedback got rid of loadouts, armor abilities, ordnance drops, bloom, etc., and the game’s better off for it. People have also given numerous suggestions to alternatives for sprint, yet are constantly ignored and reduced to haters and complainers. The comment about critics, vets, purists - or whatever name they (us) are given - just wanting a Halo 3 rehash ist just another one in a long series of dismissive condescension by an enraged fan that holds no weight in the overall discussion, as it could hardly be further from the truth.

This guy proposed the exact OPPOSITE of what anti-sprinters want, of course no one liked his ideas. I’d honestly rather HAVE sprint than his ideas.

Of course, he’s going to be done with people who disagree with him because, -Yoink- them, amirite guise??

Your statements exude bias.

Please try not to blind yourself to other sides of a situation to fit your narrative.

I too

Dude, it’s really hard to read your responses with the quoteception going on. Are you on mobile? No disrespect intended, just seems as if you had issues with the forum software/interface.

Again, I have tried to discuss with the other side in the past and actually, I’m still trying to do so, if I have the feeling that I’m not wasting my time. I’m open to arguments in favor of sprint and I do try to find a middle ground which is why I constantly ask people what they like about it so that we maybe find a solution that satisfies both parties. (People have suggested sprint-esque animations to be added to BMS, player speed to build up slowly the longer you move forward, shooting while sprinting (but with increased spread), sprint being a map-pickup, and countless other things that I forgot off the top of my head.)

But this is not a discussion. I’m not talking about all the supporters. I’m talking about this one random dude on the internet who got upset because people didn’t like his suggestions and then went on to spew hatred and nonsense out of spite. I really see no reason why I shouldn’t call him out for what he is doing.

Basically how I feel about halo right now

i saw this video and disagreed with the majority of what he talked about. even the minor topics about the matches he was playing while ranting. he sems like he just wants to complain and wont have any actual discussions tho

But it’s also pure fact that it is very playable, really one of the biggest issues with it right now is the exponentially long search times. Which usually take up to two minutes max. Other than that I can’t think of any game breaking bugs, maybe I just haven’t played enough? If you would, could you please elaborate?

I won’t elaborate further, because A) this isn’t the correct forums for that and B) there’s an entire website dedicated to MCC bugs and glitches.

I think that your really just looking way to much in to what he is saying, I do agree that it was an asinine statement. But I think the point he was trying to get across was the fact that people spend to much time complaining about things and not playing games they enjoy. If you as a person don’t like sprint, that is entirely fine. Do you complain about it? all the power to you. But if all you do everyday is complain about the same thing everyday then your really not doing more than aggravating the people who do enjoy sprint.

But you seem to completely disregard what you say to them. Many things, 343 fanboy or not a true Halo fan. I also believe that you misunderstood what I meant. I didn’t mean that there can be no criticism. all the issues being brought have been brought up thousands of times before. At first it might have been feedback, but after such repetitive actions it turns from feedback to complaining.try to look at both sides of the argument. When you call the people haters for not wanting sprint to go away or for not wanting an alternative to it. all your doing is exactly what there doing, starting another line of dismissive condescension by an enraged fan that holds no weight in the overall conversation.
