Basic Tips for PC Exclusive Players?

Right. I’ve been a huge fan of Halo for many years. However, after Reach, I made the switch to PC Gaming, and H5F is my first return to the series since. As a result, I’m a little behind on everything. So, for someone who only owns this on PC, I have a few questions:

  1. Is there anyway to change your service tag? I’ve checked Waypoint, though I could’ve missed it.

  2. From previous experiences, some armor customizations are only unlockable via SP or MP accomplishments. Without a server browser, are we just stuck with recruit armor?

  3. Waypoint is the only source of character management other than H5F itself, correct? I don’t want to be completely overlooking a resource.

If anyone’s got anything for these potentially super obvious questions, thanks for having patience and answering.

H5F is pretty barebones. Pretty much everything you listed is in the main game itself. You can change your armor around on Waypoint, but beyond that, stances, assassinations, weapon skins, etc are in the game only.

Armor isn’t unlocked via achievements anymore. It’s through the REQ system. You earn REQS via completing matches in matchmaking. Think of it like the Reach credit system, only it’s completely random what you get from the packs. That being said, I don’t believe there is a way to earn REQ points in the win 10 forge.

That’s disappointing. Hopefully some of the personalization stuff will arrive with the server browser. Has 343 made any statements regarding customization? Most of their statements so far have been addressing gameplay mechanics or players who also own it for the Xbox.

I don’t think customization is coming to H5F. Without Req points which are only earnable in matchmaking, there is no customization. It will probably remain a full title exclusive feature. I doubt 343i has plans to add matchmaking to W10, but a custom games browser is on the way.
