I just reviewed the Basic Map Requirements - Halo 5 and have some questions. The following are the Basic Map Requirements - non game mode specific:
BASIC Map Requirements – Non game mode specific
- 4 Red (Defender) Team Spawns / 4 Blue (Attacker) Team Spawns - Intro Camera Setup (Teams / Weapon Pads, Objectives) - Kill Volumes / Soft Kill Volumes / Collision (Invisible) Barriers - Spawn Quality
-
- No Spawns facing walls / drop offs / geo snags / floating above ground*
-
- Symmetrical Map – Team spawns equidistant to weapon pads / neutral game objects* - Named Locations - Neutral Respawns: ~65+ per map (Minus Breakout) - __Dynamic elements (energy shields, fusion coils, shootable triggers, etc)__I have some concerns regarding the last 3 requirements on that list. I am currently creating a BTB map and feeling slightly confused on why we have to set 65/1024 objects on just respawns. That is a HUGE portion of the total budget. Named Location, how many do we need? Would it be possible to elaborate on what we have to name? Lastly, dynamic elements, what is the reason for this to be a requirement? Does a vehicle count as a dynamic element? As it would have even more impact on a map than lets say a stationary fusion coil in the corner somewhere. I look forward to some feedback.
