I really don’t like the Flood mode they have now, sure I know there will be a few that disagree with me but I would like a 2nd game mode to choose from. I hate zombies having thruster packs and shield and not able to run. Instead I want a game mode where it’s like halo reach’s alpha zombie.
Barebones:
- No armor abilities for humans and flood
- No shield for flood
- Sprint enabled for both humans and flood, flood can have infinite sprint or just the alphas or all limited sprint.
Please vote and comment and show support for this game time because i would really like this to become an actual game type because the flood mode now really is annoying.
Barebones? That’s CoD. What you’re after is more of a SWAT-fection, which does sound somewhat interesting.
Disagree, Reach Infection was awful.
I’m not talking about cod, cod just happened to take that name. I mean stripping it down to the basic in fact which majority of players liked. No armor abilities for either side and sprint enabled because with the lag in Halo 4 the bullseye happens even more now with thrusters and i really hate infects with shields and thrusters. And the pistol almost becomes useless to have because with the maps being so close quarters there is no point to using the pistol because you have little to no chance because of the 3 second delay of when you kill him and him body still flies into you and kills you. Even jumping out of the way doesn’t work. Also Alpha Zombies in Reach was the most popular game type for infection because people didn’t like camo zombies with hammers or zombies with ninja rolls.
> Disagree, Reach Infection was awful.
Yes infect in Reach was bad
Infection in Reach
- zombies with ninja rolls, aka evade
People, by majority liked Alpha Zombies
Alpha Zombies in Reach
Halo 4’s Flood is horrible. Everyone i talk to says 343i kills zombies almost completely now with this new game mode they want alpha zombies.
“People, by majority liked Alpha Zombies”
Not sure what survey you took, or which “majority” you are talking about but I for one HATED and hardly ever played Zombies in reach. For one there are no “Zombies” in this universe and it was a custom game-type that caught on because of another stupid mode in that ‘other FPS’. There was nothing to differentiate the so called Zombies and Humans besides the weapons and speed, and those god awful stages made it a waste of time anyway. Flood fixes that IMO as it is FLOOD not “Zombies” which is cannon since we’re training on the Halo-Deck (lol) and the flood have been encountered and survived so it makes sense that now we would train for an encounter with them again. I dunno I like it, but then again I LOVE HALO 4!

Excuse me? No, if you are referring to the “stupid mode in that ‘other FPS’” as COD, Call of duty. You are already wrong. Halo zombies originated on Halo 2, which came out in 2004. Call of duty: World at war zombies came out in 2008, that’s a 4 year difference my friend. It was the most popular game mode in halo 2 so Bungie made it into a game mode for halo 3 and that caught on so it went into reach. When I played zombie in Halo reach majority of the time people would pick Alpha zombies over anything else, Haven, Zombie ghost, Infection, etc. If you really want me to go back to halo reach and tally mark every time Alpha zombies gets picked I will do that because you know I’m correct on that. The weapons for the humans and zombies are the same as they were in reach, what are you talking about? Staging? Also 343i made Flood because Bungie initially want to make it were if you got infected in Halo 3 you turned into a flood. Problem was they didn’t have time to put that in just like Halo 3 you were supposed to be able to play as brutes and have the arbiter’s armor but they didn’t have time to implement the idea into multiplayer. You don’t need the multiplayer to make sense of why Spartans and elites were fighting alongside each other as a team while fighting against enemy Spartans and elites in halo 3. You just played to have fun, you don’t need a story for the multiplayer. Tell then, why can’t you play as an elite but you can play as a flood? Ya broke your logic right there.
We also need those cool custom maps like the ones from Halo 3 double exp weekend.
Playing infection on the default maps all the time gets old.

long as the custom maps aren’t those halo reach “community made” that the community actually hate because they nerf the map to hell and back and people lose interest in it. I like the Countdown map originally over the countd whatever

Didn’t say it was needed to make sense I was just saying it made sense and if you think Halo 2 was the first FPS that had “zombies” you are incorrect and that is where “that other fps” comment derived from…You jumped the gun and assumed I meant Call Of Duty. As far as my logic being broken, sense I’m not attempting to state any facts and just share my opinion, I would say that your post is broken lol but hey it’s all good I was just stating why I liked Flood over “Zombies”

So you are arguing over a name? and no I’m talking to you about which halo game was the first to do a Zombie mode.
Halo 2: Zombies
Halo 3: Living Dead
Halo Reach: Infection
Halo 4: Flood
Its just a name, I’m talking about a new gametype. More options to choose from because i bet if you put in barebones it probably will be a lot more popular then what we have now.
