Banshees OP?

Is it me or do Banshees seem very overpowered in Halo 5, They can trick spam like crazy, and when they Trick spam they break any lock on weapon. You can’t hijack them when they are upside down like previous games, and the Banshee Ultra seems to be the most trouble of them all since it’s bomb recharges faster and does extra damage when hit.
I just feel as if the Banshees are overpowered in the game since they seem to be a must have in warzone making it very hard to play Warzone.

Not really. They’re dependent on the Pilot’s skills and in the hands of anyone other than a banshee vet they’re pretty much flying targets. I’ve never lasted longer than one wave in a Banshee, and I’m just as likely to crash one into the side of a building as I am getting shot down.

Maybe you’re just really good in a Banshee?

Welcome to halo the banshee is always open since like 2

I think it’s OP with the right pilot. It’s also annoying when an enemy gets one from a random vehicle req before anyone on your team is even req level 3.

Air vehicles feel like they ruin the game. They really should balance trick spamming. I never do great with a banshee mainly because the button for tricks is located on B but when I change it so I can spam it I often do quite good.

It’s only op when your team decides they don’t want to work together to take it out. Which is about half the time when playing big team.

I sell all mine except the gold ones because usually theres at least one or two players on the other team that will take you out before you can even a couple kills.

For the longest time I’ve wished they’d add a short cool down for banshee tricks or maybe tricks would deplete the boost meter so you can’t just dodge everything forever. It would also be nice if it actually took damage when you flip and slam into the ground/wall/ceiling. It’s absurd the amount of nonsense you can get away with in a banshee. Besides that, I think damage/durability-wise banshees are fine.

I think removing the shield would help the balance especially on the ultra

I think you’re looking at this from the wrong angle. A smiled vehicle user should be a constant threat yet in this game Banshees are the only really viable ones. They’re not op so much as other vehicles are up

I think banshee shields are a good thing. As it stands, the banshee is already quite vulnerable to small arms fire. Its shield allows it to attack more than once without being torn to ribbons and makes it a viable hit-and-run craft. Perhaps the banshee ultra could do with a reduction in shield strength, however, because the ultra can be far too tanky and oppressive, especially with wheelman.

I hate the banshee it is too op in halo 5

It’s all about the skill of the pilot.

You mean since Reach, you could take down a Banshee while dual wielding SMG’s pre and post title update, and Halo 3 it could barely look down, Reach is when they gave it an adrenalin shot lol

The physics of the vehicles are weird and broken, you can’t hijack them, that is the real problem

Why do you think it’s OP in halo 5?

From what I’ve experienced in warzone, most of the unfrigs have come from the banshee. If a guy is good he can rule the game easy but it doesn’t happen very often.

The flips could use a cool down.

I’m so confused to day I saw a banshee being able to do tricks while emped. It didn’t make any sense.

Depends on the skill of the pilot flying the Banshee. Although I would like you to say the Banshee is still OP when it’s being targeted by Railguns, ONI Warthogs with the explosive chaingun and other powerful weapons which can tear vehicles to shreds. Unless the team you’re against is incompetent or they simply don’t care about the Banhsee, it’s great but when they’re actually working with a semblance of teamwork and effort to take you down it can be trickier…

And let us not forget accidently flying too close to an enemy base… Marines… they still haunt my flying days to this moment.
