Banshee wars!

Every game vs banished is a banshee war. Every single game anyone plays as banished just masses planes. And anti air just doesn’t kill it fast enough early game. Take both power and blue resources and just cannot make enough to deal with the speed of banshees. Hornets which cost more should easily dominate them but not the case. No other unit gets spammed as much as planes in this game. Used to be locusts galore but now air is supreme. Really getting tired of this non-thinking/no brainer strategy of just mass producing banshees/hornets all game long. Throw in a handful of Cyclops or hunters and ball game. You need so many anti air to kill air it’s ridiculous.

In 1v1s it’s not an issue however if your in a team game then you shouldn’t ever surrender the skies to the enemy team. If your running 2v2s you should have you or a team mate be ready to transition into wolverines/reavers or banshees of their own to keep air superiority. In 3v3s you should run a decimus or colony to lock down the skies right from the start. Even if there isn’t a banished player on the enemy team you will still need the banshees to keep hornets from sniping bases. I don’t believe banshees are OP anymore however I also wouldn’t mind a damage buff to anti air units.

Can’t though because almost every game is a yap yap player and since they are free, u have to build anti infantry to deal with them which wastes all your resources to kill free units. And the enemy teammate or yap yap just sits back and techs up and gleefully banshees. Behind the curve so bad because you have to deal with free units or riders or elite grunts. And it’s just mass banshees.

Banshees havnt been good for a while now, honestly wolverines/ reavers tear them apart as oong as theyre not isolated but mixed in which an army.

Yap yap is fairly unbalanced right now however it seems like your having more of a problem with yap yap then the actual banshees themselves.

But what your saying is that yap yap is unbalanced, which is true, he is the best leader atm. He has crazy eco early game because his free units can take every resource/node on the map and he can expand quicker than anyone, not to mention the other advantages he has.

But with your logic, a yap player could be way ahead of your eco and build anything, banshees aren’t the problem, he could have massed anything and you will have problems because he is so far ahead economy wise.

Banshees in general are fine now, reavers and wolves kill them with ease unless they are a lot more upgraded than your AA.

Maybe u all play 1v1. In 2c2 and 3v3 u cannot stop mass banshees. You simply cannot. Opponent can make them faster and cheaper than anti air. And they just fly back n forth between bases. Mass anti air sure it will kill them but u cannot attack a base with all anti air. Air is supreme in this game. Look at my past game history and the build order for every opponent I have played. Banshees or hornets as quickly as humanly possible. Anti air is not strong enough early without serious upgrades. Banshees cost too little to do as much damage as they do vs buildings. Absolutely wreck bases.

Nope, just play vs atriox and decimus. Double banshees. Game before, Jerome and Forge, nothing but hornets, healing planes, and vultures with a couple Cyclops spread in. Yap Yap has an economical advantage because u have to spend resources to kill all the free units. Meanwhile yap yap just techs up without recourse.

Earlier I played OP in a 2 vs. 2, and we destroyed him with a few hornets, we were the Forge and Jerome he mentioned in the post above. He didn’t expo until 12 minutes into the game, so I think there are other problems than anti-air being underpowered :wink: You shouldn’t let your anti-air get smashed by leader powers as well, that hurt you quite a bit.

For some background, I received several messages after we won from OP, with him claiming that we were trash and using noob strategies, yet we uncontestedly slaughtered them, in case anyone is wondering why I got personal with him so quickly.
