Anyone else agree that the banshee is horribly weak? As soon as I spawn one in it gets shot by every enemy player on the map and within seconds its already destroyed. The fact that it is a flying vehicle makes it even weaker as everyone can see it at all times.
So is the Warthog and Mantis.
use a banshee ultra, those things shred and have tons of armor. none of the default vehicles are very good in general. If you want to be successful in a vehicle you should probably be spawning a tier two vehicle
The base one is really weak but the Ultra is pretty good.
I called one in on Noctus yesterday and as soon as I spawned in before I could get my bearings and move anywhere I got shot down by the NPC Wraith that spawns behind the garage. I didn’t even know it was there!
Not EVERYONE can see you at ALL times. But yea, vehicles are weak. Just have to be more conservative with them I guess.
Banshees are annoying to me, they are like flies buzzing around in the air they can completely destroy when they are helping take a base since it usually forces everyone to the lower level making it a lot easier for your team to clear it. They are like glasscannons to me they can do a lot of damage with the air superiority but it can’t take much once the shield pops
The banshee are gun and run. If you stay over enemy territory it will not last as long. I agree you get more bang for your req points with an Ultra.

This sounds like you’re supporting the banshee and telling everyone how its so well balanced. You actually made the banshee sound perfect.

I agree those are dope but the regular banshee gets taken down so unbelievably quick and theres no way to hide youre up in the air and you cant stop the vehicle so you always have to be moving.
But yes I use mine responsibly and run and gun but each run I do I get worse and worse damage and only make it about two runs. And if the enemy team has a splaser or hydra forget about it.

just fly back to your home base area if you want to stop moving for whatever reason. or if you really don’t want to move, fly into a wall. or get out of the banshee and get back in when you are ready to move again. Like R3dMarine says:

This is how a normal banshee should be functioning. and quite frankly a normal banshee is not a 20-0 killing machine, that is a banshee ultra.
All the of standard vehicles are super weak, just encourages people to use sword-ultra variants imo.

Brought in an ultra on Noctus a few weeks back and got a handful of kills before the enemy brought in 2 standard banshees. By the time they finally destroyed mine both of theirs were all but destroyed. Respawned and shot them down with my DMR. ultras can take a beating!

Ultras are crazy powerful. The only ultra covenant vehicle that still manages to suck is the wraith. All versions of the wraith are terrible
YOu have to keep moving in banshees and do the aerial moves also
Your spartan also dies faster if multiple Spartans are shooting you.
There are weak spots on every vehicle. Know where the weak spots are on a banshee and avoid showing the enemy those spots. Doing maneuvers will help with damage control but “ultimately, we’re all dead men. Sadly, we cannot choose how but, what we can decide is how we meet that end, in order that we are remembered, as men.”
I think its fine the way it is

I never used one, but I have fought a lot, I don’t think they are perfect but I do think that the lack of armor is nice given their ability a oneshot spartan, a rapid fire gun, dodge ability, boosting, and flight, it makes its a great vehicle for what its worth, at the time you get level 6 reqs if people were using reqs before that like ghosts, hogs and wraiths the banshee is a perfect way to counter them but to keep them from being too strong at the same thing you get a scorpion tank to counter that how ever a skilled banshee pilot can still kill if not damage a tank a lot before going down
