Finally managed to get a go in the banshee earlier even though it was only for a few minutes . I have to say I’m underwhelmed for sure. The bomb isn’t that powerful at all and the beams are very weak literally chased a mongoose for like over 30 seconds shooting it and it didnt die. Also I don’t understand why if vehicles take a certain amount of damage its seems to spontaneously combust . The ghost beems are much more powerful. Also please put heavy vehicles at the start or much earlier than just a few minutes at the end. Its not great just getting ghosts and warthogs all the time
Banshee is super underpowered. Feels like a paper airplane. Super exposed to power weapons like sniper and skewer. I prefer the ghost 1000 times more, way more effective.

Very true. It’s an absolute shame as the banshee has always been my favourite.
It’s hilarious how the Ghost is now a power vehicle over the Banshee.
The damn thing is SO FAST and the turret rips through things.
It’s also basically a Wraith in terms of durability.
I boosted that thing into the enemy spawn and just mowed like 5 guys over before getting Dynamo’d

Same here, wouldn’t mind the new mobility, it just doesn’t last long enough
Never even tried it, but I’ve seen gameplay and I absolutely agree. I saw a Warthog completely absorb a direct-impact Banshee bomb, and then the gunner ripped the Banshee to shreds in five seconds.
The Banshee definitely needs a buff to armor and its fuel rods. I’m not sure about the plasma guns, but they probably need a damage boost as well.
The Ghost is just about perfect IMO.
I think it’s good to not have the Banshee be a game ender like it has been in the past Halo titles. So, to some extent, I don’t want to see it buffed. But I can see the argument for making it a tad bit more durable. I just don’t want it to become the uber Banshee again haha.
And I think the Ghost needs to be weakened a bit more. It honestly feels harder to deal with a Ghost than a Warthog right now, which doesn’t seem right. The driver of the Ghost is already so protected AND they can shoot. For the warthog, the gunner is really exposed, so you can take them out with a decent bit of work assuming they’re not firing on you directly (but even then, you can still land shots on the gunner). And once the driver is down, then the Hog is mostly rendered useless (at least from a threat stand point). But the Ghost is always a threat until it’s eliminated. And the protected nature of the driver position and the speed of the vehicle makes it so hard to deal with, and is impossible to deal with if it’s firing at you directly, and you don’t have a power anti-vehicle weapon available.
I’ve honestly feared Ghost’s more so far than I have fully loaded Warthog’s. A lot more. I think that should be balanced out a bit.
I haven’t even seen a Banshee yet, but the Plasma Pistol doesn’t zap vehicles anymore, I was completely surprised after charging up and blasting a Ghost three times with no effect lol(and I have been Plasma Pistol’d while driving a Warthog and nothing happened to me either) and then on another occasion, I had SPNKR rockets and blasted a Warthog that rolled up on me and it didn’t do anything but affect the players’ shields a little bit… The only vehicles I’ve seen throughout the entire beta are the Mongoose, Ghost and Warthog.
I thought the cannons were decent for damage, but the armor is pretty weak sauce.
Also the ghost has unlimited boost but the banshee doesn’t. They’ve really made the weakest banshee ever. Such a shame its my favourite vehicle In any game and have had thousands of banshee kills over the years.
