I have played with the Recon control scheme for most of my Halo experience, and have never had issues with it; however, I cannot figure out how to air dodge/roll a Banshee in Halo 5 with these controls selected. What is the button to do so?
I JUST WANT TO DO A BARREL ROLL AND THERE’S NO Z OR R TO PRESS TWICE.
I know it’s super-late and “necro-ing” a thread, but I too would like an answer to this question. More than once I’ve been blown out of the sky while being pursued and shot at in a Banshee, my fingers frantically hitting every button combination I can think of in an attempt to pull a barrel-roll or loop-de-loop, to no avail, watching my ship explode and my corpse plummet from the sky while my fingers are still auto-pressing in a way-too-late attempt to figure out how the hell to roll or loop…
I want to say you have to hold X and then tilt your thumb stick in the direction you want to go. I have always played recon but I don’t know why I’m second guessing myself here… Try and see if it works, as I’m away from my X1
