I’m wondering about bans, I was suspended for 30 minutes and am wondering if quitting out if games will eventually scale up to a permanent ban?
if you continually quit out of games, your ban will keep getting extended to the point it just remains. It’s a harsher system than before, but it still takes a bit to get a ban imposed
So i quit a lot of games and got a 15 min ban after about 2 hours of quitting games constantly, i was farming grunt kills to get the covenant destroyer commendation because some bloody genius thought it would be great to make us get 100 grunt kills to max it out -.- its so stupid since theres like 4 grunts in any given game. Anyway when 15 mins was up i got a notice saying i got banned for 40 mins just randomly?? im afraid that the system screwed up and didnt notify me earlier of my ban and i just kep quitting games without knowing of the consequences. If i come back on tomorrow and it says 5 week ban or something who’s fault would it be ? mine or the devs for not notifying me that i could be banned… like what gives ? i just hope when i get on tomorrow that im not still banned because that would be unfair as hell. At the same time i know quitting games is an offence but to be fair ive never been banned before in any other halo game i was so aggravated at others stealing my grunt kills that i actually stooped this low as to quit and start up a new game to farm 1 or 2 grunt kills each time -.-

If you know that quitting is an offence and yet you do it anyway and get banned, the fault is entirely your own. Doesn’t matter if you weren’t banned from previous games, restrictions are tighter in Halo 5 to entice people not to quit out of games. From what I can see, your punishment is entirely fair.

You are responsible for your own actions, which have consequences.

Oh if you are counting my Arena games that i left its not because i quit them, i don’t quit arena games ever haha its because my download speed is half a megabyte a second v.v and i lag out of them… Also im pretty sure i quit way more then that in warzone yesterday like only 11? maybe i was blinded by rage and i thought i quit more than i did…
well i mean yeh ive never ever quit games before and i have been playing exclusively halo since 2001 and ive usually been angry at people who quit out of lobbies in matchmaking but my mentality was its warzone 12 v 12 extremely social so if one guy quits whos going to care? especially since you have in game joining like every match i play one guy quits from my team and another joins in the following minute. Also i was going to keep quitting until i got a ban notification so yeah i guess its my fault completely on the first ban and then i was never going to do it again but for the system to not give me the ban then give me 3 or 4 bans all at once seems a bit unfair? right, i was seriously angry like i wanted to throw my controller because of how long it was taking to kill those grunts xD Im a huge completionist and its driving me crazy… Oh well if my ban lasts a week what can i do lmao, i dont care much for warzone anyway since its so unbalanced but still i dont think the ban system is working right or maybe its my internet speed screwing me over since after every game i play i have to quit halo 5 and re launch it in order to see my req points and req packs get updated for me to open -.-

as you can see in that really helpful post above showing my games, before yesterday i never received a ban so i guess my ban time cant be so severe if its for only quitting 11 games, i wonder why i wasnt banned for quitting those 6 games a few days before that?? i say quit but before yesterday i never purposefully quit a game midway it was mainly because of lag and trust me i hated lagging out of games just as much as i hated people leaving them in arena! like you lose all your points for the amount you played like thats seriously annoying.

If you know something isn’t allowed or is wrong, you don’t need an automated system or someone else to tell you that. Don’t do it.
You don’t have to finish everything immediately. Commendations come in time when playing, so try to slow down and enjoy yourself. The game will be here for a long time, as will the rest of us who are trying to do the same thing.
Keep others in mind when you play with them and not abandon your friends on the battlefield. Be better than that.
