Bans

This thread hopefully will be a resource where people can come and see the length of their bans, depending on what they did and what their offense was.

As far as I know, there are credit bans, quitting bans, bans from Waypoint and then permanent bans for hacking, etc. What I need from you, the community, is how long each ban takes place per offense and what the criteria are for the specific bans. Thanks in advance for any contribution/ helpful suggestions and corrections/ modifications.

I recently got a credit ban yesterday, i found out that its probably only 24 hours. However, i can tell this is automatically done cause me and my friends weren’t credit boosting, but achievement boosting, which isn’t illegal in Halo, thats up to Microsoft. So technically we were credit banned under false pretenses. I know its so people can’t boost credits, but it should be monitered better so that achievement and credit boosting are sepereated. Im not saying i support achievement boosting, but it was just me and some friends getting some of the difficult ones and having fun. Not trying to rank up or earn extra credits.

Is there a way to file a complaint or excuse incase this happenes again (which i dont think it will since i have all Halo Reach Achievements and i dont think there will be more until Halo 4)?

AFAIK credit bans are 24 hours, then 2 weeks. Not sure.

In Matchmaking, in multiple recent or consecutive games, the players that got the credit bans (or their guests, if on split-screen) failed to get any kills in Slayer gametypes. Am I correct?

Bungie lied pre-release and said they can detect AFKing. In reality, they can only guess at it by seeing if someone got 0 kills in a Slayer game.

Nope.

Yes thats correct. There were many games wehre me or my split screen player didnt get any kills. Its seems to avoid this will be at least giving my main profile and guest a few kills every game to trick the system in that we are playing. But like i said, i wont be achievement boosting unless Reach has more coming, which i doubt with Halo 4 coming out this year.
