I understand some people are -Yoinks!-, but this is something we pay for. If I wanna quit due to whatever reason I have the right to due so without being punished. I paid for this game. Now I do not quit much I’ve only had a 1 second ban before"whatever the hell that was about".
You know who else paid for the game? The 7 other people who’s experiences you think you have the right to ruin. Some people are Yoinks indeed.
The only time I get banned these days is thanks to my stupid ISP that can’t think of a good time to work properly, so with connection problems, they could fix that. Now for constant quitting, well I can’t argue with that one.

You’re joking right?
… people these days.
they need to ban a hell of a lot more people, so many quiters its not even funny
They should atleast remove it from social playlists since they have join in progress.
I played a game where I grabbed sniper so some kid betrayed me. I didn’t even respond, but he continued to shoot me every .2 seconds for the next 5 minutes. Of course I quit. And…banned.
like, holy -Yoink-
Actually, I’m all for this.
Use this idea instead:
Black box: If you qualify for a ban, get flagged and play only with other flagged players for a set amount of clean matches.
Probation matches after that. Violate on probation, get back in the box and do even more clean matches.
No rewards given, no stats tracked.
OP, correction:
You didn’t buy the game, you bought the right to play. A right 343 has the right to revoke when they feel it needed.
What a selfish entitled individual.
I hope they crank up the ban time even more. You deserve each one.
I guess some people don’t have life’s to understand sometimes while you game more important things come up. Some people. …

This person will get far in life.

The correct response would have been to pull his gamercard and report him. This happened to my wife and she was trying to kill him back, but I stopped her and showed her how to report. He kept betraying the team until someone got the option to boot him.
It’s not the most immediate or most satisfying way to deal with it, but as adults (which we should all be, since this game is rated M) but that’s what you gotta do.

Next time you are in a pick up (choose your sport) and you just all of a sudden quit. Your friends will think twice of inviting you to play again because now you just left them a person down and they have uneven teams. I can provide you with so many examples it’s not even funny.

So many times in a short time span that you qualify for a ban?

Technically it is rated (T) now.

What are we talking about here? Work calls? Kid broke their arm? Pipes burst?
If it’s important enough to pull you away long enough that you have to leave the game, you can probably live with the few minutes of ban time you get. If it’s more than a few minutes of ban time, then you probably are a repeat offender and need to stop playing while there are so many things happening around you IRL.
Adulting is hard.
If you plan to quit then don’t play the game in the first place.

What do you know… I hadn’t noticed. Seems strange; the themes haven’t changed significantly, IMO.

The original’s had the Flood and H4 had the composer scene. H5 doesn’t have much in those departments.
Very rarely life happens during a match and you have to quit. VERY RARELY. Once in a blue moon you might rage quit if it’s 40-10. VERY RARELY. I think 343 has allowed for that before they start the penalties. I’ve quit a couple times for life reasons and rage quit exactly once since launch and have never been banned. They know sometimes stuff comes up, but if you are repeatedly quitting you are affecting other folks experience, and I fully support their idea to implement bans.
Funny thing is that the banning doesn’t even really help stop quitters from quitting… They just get all pissy and go right back to doing the same thing after the ban lifts then complain again… Start taking away their req points or something oh or say it costs like 500-1000 req to quit on top of the banning
