I never understood the banning system as a whole it always felt like whoever chose to ban us for leaving games is very very mentally ill because it’s a cruel decision for just for leaving a game. but my question is why don’t other players get banned for team killing why is banning just aimed at leaving games? (this also where the mentality really shows on bungie) i play daily & i get killed because i have a weapon my teammate wants, or beat them to the rockets so they betray me, or just randomly throughout a game one of my teammates decides to start shooting me for no reason. you should get 10 minute ban for team killing not just for leaving games it’s pathetic & suspicious on behalf of bungie & 343.
Is there a system in place that can tell the difference between a team kill and a suicide?
Yes there is it’s just not a very good one on halo reach. How does team killing equal suicide?
If you team kill enough times you will be kicked from the match, if you are kicked from enough matches you will receive a small ban as being kicked is treated as leaving a game.

I leave games all the time & i never get banned. I have friends who do get banned but for some strange reason i don’t. Error on behalf of 343, halo reach has many unfixed errors.
