Banning for social, insentive to play different games. Not to stop quiting

Non ranked modes shouldn’t ban people of you immediately get replaced with Bot.

Especially if you left during the intro/ cinematic.

Look your least favorite mode, stay or get banned from all modes.

Infinite’s bad enough, let alone preventing people from playing all together.
Motivation to go play a decent game instead of infinite.

Because AI starts to upset the balance between the two teams.

Don’t be a quitter.

I mean I don’t like playing CTF on Bazaar but I’m not going to just leave because I don’t like it, Bots in this game are as useless at it is

Deal with it & don’t be a quitter

Get a ban once than it bans every singe quit forever…

Server kicked you mid match? Ban
Keep getting a specific mode you can’t enjoy? Ban
Quitting steaks as the top player on losing side. Ban

If only more people felt that way. Having some consideration for the enjoyment of other people playing the game is important. I totally get not wanting to play modes you don’t especially like and a proper match composer should be implemented to help with that.

Also in happy news for you, there’s no more CTF on Bazaar. It got removed in the last round of playlist updates. I’m actually pretty disappointed because I really liked it but I must be in the minority.

Nobody wants losers who quit on their team is why. I’d rather have new players then someone then one who cares absolutely nothing about me and our team.

I’d would be all for it though if they decided to made a system that put people together based off of how often they stuck to matches though. So if you quit often, all your teammates are also going to be people who quit frequently. If you stick to matches full time just about every game, they pair you up with others who also do the same.

Placement doesn’t go away with time either. You need to change your ways in order to get people from the other side joining your team. So quit often, don’t want dead beat teammates who screw you over, you have to start sticking to matches from start to finish more frequently for that to happen.

Yeah I don’t know if I feel happy about that, CTF Bazaar I find it’s 5x more tolerable than getting any mode on Launch Site.

CTF on Bazaar isn’t something I like but it’s quite disappointing it got removed so I do feel bad for the ones who enjoyed it

Quitting simply because you don’t like the mode, yeah you deserve a ban. Just because no rank is involved doesn’t mean you don’t ruin the game for others. Also let’s be honest bots don’t really help at all, granted better than being short handed, but hardly real help… What infinite needs is a match composer like MCC has, where players can pick modes and heck why not either precision or auto starts. But another good example why Halo players should be playing MCC and not infinite.

I loved it as well!

So sad…

The end game here is obviously a customised match making composer.

But until then - you know exactly what maps and modes are in each play list.

So take it on the chin and don’t quit.

If I remember right Slayer on Launch Site got cut as well which I do think was a good decision. I don’t mind the map (mainly because it offers a change of pace) but it need’s objectives to focus people into certain areas.

This is especially true in stock pile, I’ve won games just from a majority of the enemy team leaving if the first few seconds then after the remaining players realize it’s a 12v6 or worse the rest jump ship as well. And I can’t blame them either because I do the same, stockpile is the worst game mode in Infinite and I shouldn’t be punished for not wanting to play it.

This can all easily be fixed when 343i gets the right traction and pulls an MCC in Infinite so when you pick BTB you can choose what btb games types to play.

This would just cause a feedback loop and lead to people who tend to leave to leave more because people they’re playing with are leaving which leads to their teammates leaving because their teammates are leaving who left because their teammate left.

Might as well just permanently ban players instead of having them use up server space in a gradually worsening quitter purgatory for literally no productive reason.

It’s better to fix the reasons why people quit than doubling down on punishing people. Like having more control over which game modes and maps you play, and while this also has been a topic beaten to death but something like a progression system would also incentivize those people to leave less.

Power move: Quit anyway. The worst they can do is ban you.

All of you saying ‘deal with it and don’t quit’.

Do you play this game as a job? Are you a full time streamer?

Some people play this game for fun (or try anyway) so if you don’t enjoy something, you should be able to quit without penalty. In ranked, it’s a bit different, but in social games quit bans are the dumbest thing.

I was hoping someone would share a sane point on this thread…Thank you!

I think there should be penalties for leaving SWAT matches since they don’t add bots but otherwise…

All of these big angy tough guys… love to guard the dying game. Their vehement defenses to make sure the game doesn’t get player friendly quality of life… doesn’t seem to be doing the game any good

They seem to think that people should be able to leave whenever they please, so they should be fine with having people who will frequently quit matches on them just fine. Complaining about it would be very hypocritical of them.

I’d like to see a “fix” for the most frequent reasons people quit:

  1. Game crashes on them constantly, never bother to try to address the issue first before re-booting up the game. It’ll clearly work this time for sure!
  2. They didn’t get the map/game mode they wanted to play
  3. They have bad teammates ( solo queues ), people that don’t play how the person in question expects them to play
  4. Something “important” came up ( sorry, you need to leave quite a few times for a game ban to kick in, I don’t for in instant believe they were ever import if your getting quit bans over that, either that or you need to address those “important” things first before playing )
  5. Person accidentally team kills player, or picks up weapon(s) or equipment they want
  6. Things are coming up, desides to chance it and hit search map because they feel they can get a quick match or 15 in before stuff actually comes up instead of just doing those things first. ( Bathroom, lunch/dinner, work assignments, homework, ect. )

There are some solutions to some of these, 343i could add very specific match up settings so people can get the maps and modes that they want. But those are not simple to implement now, and thus we’re going to have to deal with what we have now, for now. They know when entering the game filters what modes and maps are apart of said filters so they should expect that they may have to play them at some point.

The rest have solutions, that the player will never bother to take advantage over. Doing IRL tasks before playing like they should. Trying to solve issues that are crashing their games frequently enough to get banned. Not solo queuing up for randoms, instead picking teammates themselves that they know they can rely on, ect.

Well, again I repeat myself. No one wants unrealiable losers on their team, who will willfully screw you over because “reasons”. I’ll gladdly take a fresh install over you, no matter how good you are.
