I was playing matchmaking (living dead) and i am pretty sure there is a glitch in that game because when the zombie would kill me and then I would kill them at the same time it kept going “betrayal”. It said it a couple of times in a few games. I just brushed it aside because I knew I did not betray anyone until someone got the option to boot me and did. I got booted out of the game because they had the option to. Soon after that it happened again and then I was temporarily banned.
I am pretty sure what is happening is that when you kill someone the same time someone else kills you, you get a “revenge” I think it is. You shot them a split second after they shot you. You get that kill. Well in the living dead when a zombie kills you, you come back as a zombie. When the zombie shot me I killed him as well and then it went betrayal. So I immediately became a zombie (which would be the glitch) and then killed him a split secong after which was considered a betrayal. I hope that makes sense.
Shortly after I was playing a different game and accidentally got a betrayal. They IMMEDIATELY got the option to boot me and did(which I think is rude because they knew it was a accident but they do it anyways). I was now banned for even longer. Im upset because the “Living dead” is what made me on probation in the first place and now if I accidently get a betrayal, which happens A LOT means I will now get banned for like 7-14 days and then after that I don’t know.
Why does someone get the option to boot someone after 1 betrayal? It is an accident the majority of the time because I am not one to do that because I cannot stand the idiots who do. The living dead clearly has something wrong with it but the other games? I can accidently betray someone and now I really have to watch because if I do I am immediatly banned.
Betray too much and the option will pop up after the first betrayal for people. That’s probably why you are being booted so quickly. Stop betraying and you won’t have anything to worry about.
Don’t really care if you believe me or not. Just wanting a solution or someone I can contact about this if anyone has any ideas. Believe me or not it happened and I did nothing at first because I didn’t believe it either until I got quite a few betrayals in a few games which got me temporarily banned. Also contactiong Xbox live who unfortunately couldn’t fix it told me a few people have been calling about similiar situations.
Oh my, this I guess was a big mistake. I was told to go to this website for some help. Bad idea. People cannot read apparently? I was not purposely betraying people. It kept saying betrayal in that specific game when (I’ll say again) I wasn’t killing my own team. I have got booted before for throwing a sticky on someone who got in my way and betrayed them and yes they booted me when it was an accident but it’s only happened a few times since i have been playing. It is that certain game that put me on probation.
Oh, and thanks for that pointless, pathetic information that everyone already knows > aVeryEasyTarget
It really is a Bungie issue, go to Bungie.net and check the Halo: Reach forums. Also I see you play with a guest a lot, if the guest got betrayals that would affect you as well.
Oh, yea I do play with a guest a lot and definately know I got quite a few betrayals with the 2 of us but the majority of the betrayals are from that one game which he loves to play so thats why it was played so much and now I can’t play it anymore because I am to scared of getting another one. I will wait until the probation goes away to play it again and see if the same things happens. I was just hoping someone has had the same issue that could relate but it doesn’t seem like it.
Even talking to the community and Bungie could help, one of the forum ninjas or some other person who knows more than us could help. Although Waypoint is the home of all things Halo, Bungie is still running the show that is Halo Reach.
I’m not saying to leave here, you’re more than welcome with us and I hope you stick around to enjoy all Halo has to offer, but I hope you can find some answers at the Bungie forums. Even if they’re answers you don’t like, at least it would be a step in the right direction.
