> Bungie Banhammer Information
> If you are checking this page because of an in-game message, it is likely that you have been banned from for violating the terms of use and/or committing a code of conduct violation. It is also possible in the case of an especially egregious violation, that your Xbox 360 system itself is now banned from Matchmaking. The duration of this ban will be based on the type, frequency or nature of the committed violation.
> In most cases, Custom Games will still be available. In extreme cases, they will not.
> Types of violation include, but are not limited to, the following example actions:
> Manipulating network conditions to give yourself an advantage, or to the detriment of the experience for other players.
> Modifying your Xbox 360 hardware or Bungie software and services in any way.
> Skill, EXP, or Credit Boosting, deleveling, idling through games, cheating, habitual quitting or any other type of unsociable and unsportsmanlike behavior.
> Impersonating a Bungie employee on Xbox LIVE with intent to defraud or cause harm to other players.

> The system is automated and looks for patterns in your behavior and to borrow a line, “The automated system builds up a digital case of wrongdoing before any ban is enacted. If you accidentally disconnect a time or two, you won’t get banned. Instead the system looks for patterns that can’t happen accidentally. If the banhammer detects enough wrongdoing, you were doing wrong.”

First of all, thank you so much for giving me a normal reply. People on Reddit jumped aboard the ‘well the system can’t be wrong, you obviously got banned cause you’re a -Yoink-’ train almost immediately.
I managed to find that page as well. But it’s relatively inaccurate compared to what’s happening to me right now. The last time I got banned must have been 8 or even 9 years ago, and I clearly remember how it was meant for my entire console. However, this one applies to only one account (unlike what the page says). Not to mention that my online behavior has only been more than good since then.
Another thing that bothers me is the fact that Halo 3 isn’t being monitored anymore. And 1 out of 3 games are a complete mess in terms of quitters, boosters, modders, and the list goes on. So I find it weird that out of all people, I am the one getting banned. One of the last (actual) good players left on the game. Almost too coincidental if you ask me.
Another thing is that Halo 3 is not being monitored anymore. And the automated ban system couldn’t possibly do this to me. If it could, I would have been banned a lot more often in the past 8-9 years.
