Gun Game is one of the more popular gametypes right now, but it is technically a modded gametype. So my question is, if I download/play it will I get banned from Halo or Xbox Live. I would prefer having a moderator or someone involved with 343 Industries directly to answer this question as it is of concern for some. I want to play it but Im not sure if it will back fire on me.

Thanks

Nop, it doesn’t involve matchmaking. But the creator of the mod can be banned.

No, and the creator won’t be banned, either. Banning only occurs if you try to play matchmaking with mods. While it’s against the ToS, no one is going to go out of their way to enforce it unless you try to use it to cheat online.

With that being said, discussing modding is against the forum rules:

> Please do not discuss or post links to any topic that violate the Terms of Use, including but not limited to profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful topics, names, material or information. This also includes -Yoink!-, content that promotes cheating or griefing, information about hacking or modding content on an Xbox console, spoilers (whether it be about Halo or any other game), magazine scans, and leaked content, real or fake.

O’Connor confirms that non-matchmaking modding is not something 343i is worried about here.
