Banned from voice for 1 week... WHY?

I am generally a good sport on War Games, maybe I let a few vulgarities slip in frustration but it is rarely and I never directly verbally abuse others. Is there a way to find out what kind of specific complaints or violations I am accused of so this does not happen again?

Doesn’t matter you say something vulger people will report you no matter what. I would watch what you say or just turn your mic off while playing on XBL.

A couple of possible reasons:

  1. Some players know that voice bans are initiated based on the number of “mutes” you get. So they exploit that by muting you if they didn’t like how you played, or got beaten by you, or because you kept getting to the sniper before them, or whatever. You may have done nothing more than play against bad sports.

  2. The Kinect mic sometimes plays EVERYTHING over the in-game chat without you knowing it’s happening. This annoys the piss out of everyone you’re playing with, so they mute you. If you’ve got Kinect, disable it when playing Halo.
